The Premiership is awash with money and the cheapskates of the six finger country are baulking at upping the bid to £500k !!!! perhaps they should wait until they get relegated into the Championship so the tribunal cost will match their offer of £300K

For once not taking the money and running.
If they want him then they should pay if not, we can keep him make him better and up the price.
For once they are doing the right thing.
Don't think we can keep a player who is out of contract. Unfortuneately we have no cards to play here. Down to the player choice and either an agreed fee or tribunal.

Dunno why people are on about four year contracts.

If you've got a player who has been with you and tipped for success for years, is in his breakthrough season, playing regularly, and is an international, surely you keep him on a contract longer than 9 months, even if he's not setting the world alight right now.

Maybe he was offered something during the season?

Says in CT that his contract ends tomorrow, I was under the impression it was already over but I suppose that was not so.

Robins said it ended at the end of June at the kit launch. The same date most contracts end.

CET reporting his contract officially ends today, they have obviously got it wrong (again)

No what I think they are saying is that his contract was up in June and so during the last month that he hasn't got anything sorted, he will not get paid tomorrow, or whenever his pay is due (if they get paid monthly which the article suggests) and so with him being out of pocket it might force his hand to decide one way or the other.

Yes probably right, the boy better hurry up and make his decision, he could be skint soon

At this rate starting to think Thomas wants to sit the season out!

In all seriousness, even if he stays he may struggle to get in the team. He's had no preseason and is weeks behind other players. If the team is performing then he may have a long wait.

I know in all likelihood he is gone, and will be going to under 23 football so match fitness will be irrelevant, but just don't think the long wait without training will do him much good. If he's going to go wish he'd just go as soon as possible. Starting to resent the situation and maybe even George a bit.

You also have to think that the clubs aren't that interested as they could buy him with the change down the back of the owners settee yet can't agree, I am not sure why he hasn't walked away though as he could just sign a contract. We need to be careful though that one of these powerful Scottish teams don't come in and steal him

I thought he couldn't go on the Spain trip as his contract had expired which meant he wasn't insured.

The PFA pay players for one month after their contract expires on the same terms if they haven't found a new club.

Turnbull was in a win win situation if he didn't move he still had a contract with ccfc. The difference is Thomas is now unemployed.
He better get on it quick or the Tories will have him working for free in Poundland.

Its looking like Leicester are happy for it to go to a tribunal, I hope it backfires and they have to pay a lot more than what they offered

Has that been written somewhere or just because they havent had another bid? Surely they have to agree to a tribunal?

Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere but is GT training with our first team squad and could he be in contention for appearing on Sat?
