Good luck to him. He's had half a good season. Was just a kid before that. Personally think he will go into their development squad and then in a season or two will find himself on loan and eventually off. Hope I'm wrong.

Fair comment. Our scouting system as we know though, has previously left a lot to be desired!

Indeed! And didn't people think that Andy Thorn was a good scout? O'Halloran-Deegan-Bell-Mcnamee-Hussey et al. Think we'll leave it there......

Has he gone yet?
8 days without pay now George. Hope your agent is going to give you a cut of his earnings to help pay your rent.

I doubt he will be on more than £150k a year. Still a good salary and more than we will pay but not mega bucks until he makes the first team squad and he is miles away from that.

I would bet my last euro that he will back with us within five years.
Wish him well though and should have the same from all our supporters , he deserves that just for the strike at Wembley.

Well yeah, but he was offered a better deal...

Even then, no chance we would compete with Leicester.

Good luck to the lad, will be remembered fondly.
A near 500k is a fair amount for him so all's fair.

I don't feel it's the right move for his career but that his choice...

Good deal for all, he gets pay rise, joy gets 500k to prop up her failing business and Leicester will see in twelve months that he is fairly average and ship him out for the money they have paid

Can't really complain about the football team we support being propped up.

I think this may disappear into propping up the parent company, the next few weeks will tell new signings might be reinvestment but let's see

Yup, you would have thought he would be wanting to play regular first team football.

He's most certainly not ready fro the Premier, so his only hope is if Leicester loan him back out again.

All the best to him, I don't particularly think this move was the best for his career but time shall tell.

Wish you well George.

You should have continued your football education with us and I would point you towards the Ballard of Bassala Sambou.

He drives a Bentley but still plays for the under 23's...

Reading that statement does anyone else get the impression that we've gone back and said yes to the initial offer from Leicester rather than hold out for the 500k?

Yeah, if Thomas was forcing it. It could also be different terms (more up front and less addons) etc.

Good luck to him, annoying it took so long to be sorted. Maybe we will see him at another checkatrade final ;)

Just another example of how football is now. He's been at this club since the ago of 9 but half a good season and it's enough for a team to take a punt on him. He might turn out a decent player, he might not but the fact that teams at the top have such riches they can by players and stick them in the reserves in the hope something happens. It might be a bad move for Thomas as he needs to be playing men's football at this stage in his career.

Nothing will change until the FA restrict squad sizes.

Did you see that Arsenal vs Chelsea squad list doing the rounds after the community shield? Arsenal had something like 40 players on there. So screwed up. I'd like the U23s reduced back to U21s too - it's just allows another 2 years of hoarding players.
