I'd like him but:

A) He's a centre mid, we have 4 already (5 including Finch but he's shite)
B) The fee to get him would have to be fairly large.

This won't happen.

You have to look at our team now and wonder where the hell Conor Thomas would fit in with the style we are playing.

Think we'd all take Thomas out and Moncur in wouldn't we?

But then spend money to sit on the bench unless Vincelot or Fleck are going to be dropped?

Hopefully the end of CT would be a good thing for him & CCFC a fresh start.

But you need a strong squad, Nick. Players get injured and suspended or their form drops etc.

The other conspiracy theory of course could be that someone is eying up Fleck, hence his great performances showcasing his talent and it was him being watched last night by other clubs from the stands and Moncur is his replacement.

And, except for injury, that just isn't going to happen at the moment. Fleck, for me, has been probably our top performer so far this season. But if it keeps up the heat on competition for places, then I'm all for it!

i think swanson and thomas days at club are numbered, moncur could do a job in all the midfield 5 positions

Get him in! Give the midfield 5 some competition for the places. Squads quite thin at the minute. We need a competent replacements for virtually every position if we're serious about challenging this year...

Thomas needs to go, he is shite. I'd have Moncur in to improve the 'Squad'. Like Otis said earlier, we need 25 good strong players, not 11. When injuries/suspensions occur we need like for like.

Colchester were one of the most improved teams at the back end of last season came back from the dead to stay up, must have had some decent players

On yesterdays showing we need another centre midfielder, if either Vincelot or Fleck got injured we would struggle to replace them imo. Thats not knowing what this Bryn Morris brings to the table of course.

I heard that Ipswich are in after him, Moncur that is.

Could be true rumour is a bid of 350k to 500k has been placed by an unknown club.. Not sure we have that sort of money if thats true,, unless BFC have paid some transfer money in the Wilson Deal...
