Live in Newcastle upon Tyne, was at the protest today where people decided to turn up to "defend" Grey's Monument - his government abolished slavery so the statue clearly didn't need defending (an anti racism network up here said as much beforehand).
I can assure you, the people there "defending" the monument were massive racists.
