Robinson said that there far better offers on the table than SISUs when he sold in 2007 but the council would not even listen. Interesting how things have turned out

Yep he seemed to basically imply that the Council bullied the club into 'selling' to SISU,and wouldn't countenance any other owner. He also seem to suggest that both the Council and the Higgs Trust, basically usedt he club's parlous financial state to exact onerous terms on the club.Like most sensible people he argued that the club must have at least part ownership of the ground to have any reallstic and sustainable future.
He also questioned the huge cost of the High Court hearing, and who exactly would have to foot the enormous legal bill.

I agree wholeheartedly on that and it's something I've mentioned many times. The club are in dire financial straits and CCC "save" them by pegging an exorbitant and unsustainable rent. "They signed it! They signed it!" goes the chant from many, but CCFC didn't have any choice, did they. Highfield Road had already gone by then.

Am I right in saying that Robinson used to come out and meet the supporters at every away match? It at least showed he was prepared to listen to the fans. Accepting that he made some strange decisions.

He thinks the council/ sisu/ ACL should disarm themselves, lock themselves in a room and come out with an agreement. I'd go for that!

I'd go for disarming them, locking them in a room, and arming one of us to stand over them until they come to an agreement.

Question is, who do we arm?

That champagne socialist scumbag. Him, Richardson and McGinnty made millions from us and look to have got away with it. They couldn't give two shits.

Delboy, would in no way compare what I experienced in the '70's, from one sadistic bigoted teacher, to the things that you and your family went through, at about the same time I suspect.

As for the term 'outrage', maybe it was a bit over the top as a description for your original response.

Agree that today is a very dark day for the club....................just don't know where it is all going to end.

Why do people such as yourself always have to make accusations that they can not prove ? Is it malice ? jelousy ? or is it just that you cannot express yourself without denegrating somebody. Robinson lost 20 million when he walked away when sisu took over and kept this club afloat through the nineties. I sometimes wish their lawyers read this forum i think they would have a field day. These people when they were in charge made mistakes of course they did Richardson especially ( selling Highfield Road his biggest ) but to call them any all the names you can think of without a valid argument or proof does not get us anywhere.

Robinson is such a hypocrite.

He pushed for the Ricoh to be built more than anyone. He knew this day would come all those years ago when he signed that contract.

Did his mate Bob ask him why he signed the Ricoh rent agreement?

The only proof you have that he supposedly lost 20 million from letting Coventry City go is that it came from that pricks mouth. Why would he be so eager to palm off the club to a hedge fund? Why would he want the Ricoh to be built so badly?

You can think what you want, but you look at how this club has be ran in the last 20 years and you'd point at corruption. Money in the 90's poisoned the board. They all saw the £ signs and went onto squeeze every last possible penny out of the club and fucked off as quickly as they can. After that, SISU saw that they may have had the opportunity to land a profit-making facility such as the ricoh, and this started another chapter in our downfall.

McGinnity. You know how he made his money? Installing stadium seats. We could have delayed the move to the ricoh until things picked up but no, the board cracked on with it because they knew they were going to make a killing from it.

And don't give me the shite about we had to move and we had to expand. We didn't. And the opportunity was there in the 90's to expand HR if we ever needed to.

we were mugged in the 90's and left bleeding to death ever since.

We do not know what GR lost or not, certainly the accounts do not show he personally loaned the club £20m

Was it not disclosed that GR is a guarantor under the lease the club has at the Ricoh...... so right now he could be facing action for recovery if a deal is not done Perhaps a reason why he says the things he does

If the deal was so wrong for the club then GR had a fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of CCFC Ltd and CCFC H Ltd when doing a deal on the lease........ he was a signatory to the lease on behalf of CCFC/CCFCH

Thanks for that mate...appreciate those comments.

It is truly one of the worst days in the history of CCFC....Just hope all this crap will eventually herald some better times ahead. God knows we deserve it...
