I strongly remember staunch Brexiters telling us it was about racial justice and non white non EU immigrants being given the same access as white Europeans. And a lot of Asian voters were told it would mean their family would have a better chance under “fairer” immigration rules.
We have what Brexiters said they wanted. A system that only cares about if you meet the country’s needs. They just don’t like that we have the needs we do. And there’s nothing short of being the first developed country to have a baby boom since the invention of the pill we can do.

Am not surprised how those on the 'left' are only interested in making it political and blaming the Tories, suggesting they are part of the far right and standing proud and pointing rather than thinking about what might be done to change or improve things.
This isnt a time for point scoring politics, it's a time to unite and come together about what is right and wrong. First stop is give the police the resource and power to deal with it. Next is recruit more police officers and if necessary build more prisons. Make racism a proper punishable crime and lock people up for it. Finally, get a grip on what we need to do to ensure immigration is safe, fair and with the skillsets required and the infrastructure available to take them.
You can blame the last 14 years, you can blame the last 20 or more, what are we going to do about is now is far more important.
I don’t know anything about that, I’m honestly not sure what it’s got to do with this and I’m not looking for a political debate.
Some things transcend politics, and trying to murder people & bringing terrorism onto the streets like what we’ve seen here is one of them- I personally find it distasteful that some people are so reluctant to call it out for what it is instead of banging on about Labour & Tories, but I guess that’ll never change.
Tory PPCs and MPs have been excusing the violence and claiming it proves a need for their political views to be taken seriously.
Like any extremist ideology the solution will be isolating the violent and engaging the moderate. But it’s all one ideology. Robinson, Farage, Oakshott, etc exist on the spectrum and are actively engaged in inciting and coordinating specific actions.

I do think that people like Robinson etc are a huge part of it, but how do you stop them- they are masters at pushing boundaries without ever going too far, meaning that their racist & brain dead footsoldiers do all the hard lifting while they sit there feigning concern & blaming immigrants

I can quite comfortably say that I sympathise fully with, say, BLM and Palestine causes- but they shouldn’t be committing acts of violence and if they do they need to face consequences- here unfortunately there is a distinct lack of people willing to say that yes, they have a problem with immigration but that the actions of the last few days are totally wrong & those committing them should face consequences.
Even when these animals are trying to burn people alive & attacking the police they just will not come out and say it’s wrong.
