Gary McAllister as Coach (1 Viewer)

We all appreciate that Football-Rumours.co.uk is by no means the most reliable of information sources, but I wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were on this.

"Gary McAllister has been offered a coaching role at Coventry City by new manager Andrew Thorn.
After leaving Aston Villa he is waiting for other interest from the Pemier League which is thought to be Liverpool or QPR"

What do we think to this? Good or bad?

I am not too sure where he would fit in. Harrison has just signed so unless he literally was just a coach.

think the clue is in the site it came from.......... AT has his right hand man, McAllister wouldnt want a junior coaching role and we couldnt afford him anyway. Complete balloney i reckon CovScott and no substance to it

I certainly wouldn't take anything from there as gospel, but I just thought I'd see what you all thought. Maybe we might be signing him to play at the tip of the diamond in midfield. Ha!:)

I do not believe McAllister could add anything to Coventry. He did nothing but stand still as a manager. Before then, as a player, he only had one very good season and then left for Liverpool's money. IMO he is a dour, disloyal nonentity looking for a job. No thanks Gary.
