Following on the fun from yesterday the question today is around cautions

I’m pretty sure our current players are no dirtier than our previous players but there are 4 current players in the top 20 players ever to have played for Coventry who have all received more than 20 cautions

Name all 4 and then guess who is way out in front and 8th on the all time list with 35 in his career

Bidders, Allen, Kitch, MVE.

Bidders out in front

I reckon Eccles is in there.

MvE, Kitching, Eccles, Thomas

I reckon its Eccles the only one who’s been around enough to pickup the cards as the other 3 have been here 3 seasons which means an average of around 11.5 cards a season (quick guesstimate)

Just when you think these couldn’t get any more fun, you bring out the top 20 most cautioned players OF ALL TIME.

No notes, Pete. Can’t see where you can go tomorrow though.

Eccles will 100% be the one out in front due to his amount of games plus he loves a booking anyway! 🤣

Conversely, I doubt Allen is in there. He has the length of service but rarely got booked. I know this as you used to be able to get him at about 10/1 with the bookies which is crazy high for a midfielder.

So who are the other 3 frostie

Although it’s not what the question is I’d assume Hamer has one of the worst disciplinary records in the championship

Kitching
Eccles
Lati
Thomas

Yeah but how many does he get booked, quite a few I'd imagine?

Kitching, Thomas, Eccles, Bidwell ( Eccles most)

I never considered Bidwell owing to his rare appearances this season.
Similarly with Lati.

That is an interesting list of our top 20, apart from Doyle there isn't a nasty player in it and really shows how much more lenient referees were before 70s, 80s & 90s. I was expecting to see Yorath & Holton in there, even Allardyce had a good go at getting 20 & he only played for us for 1 season.

Both made under 100 appearances for us though where as most of the list are over 200!

Allen with 200 and Kelly with 180 and not being on the list is a surprise for me!

Especially as Dabo is on there after 131 appearances!

Kitching has made under 100 and Thomas just over 100 in their 3 seasons with us, I would have thought both Holton & Yorath would have more bookings than them but referees definitely show more yellow & red cards currently.

Ahh very true! I was only checking the older players appearances not current players.

That defo shows its become easier to be booked.
