So ACL tell CCFC they cant play at the Ricoh. What about the Stadium naming rights, the football stands naming rights, the football match day income i.e food.
drink, parking. All the naming rights will be based on a football Club playing there. ACL would have to repay some of these costs and lose other income. No way will this happen.
A deal will be agreed.

You do realise the council is making cut backs left right and centre? CCFC owe over one million in rent whilst the Council has to make over 600 staff redundant. City agreed to this and are stiffing everybody.

i agree i really cant see how ACL would survive without CCFC there no other football club would pay this much rent! and no other sports team!
ACL need to get in the real world a bit, SISU are playing a game, and lets hope they win it !

The club would have to find a ground with enough seats for the current season tickets plus away fans so my guess would be at least a 15000 seater stadium

They will end up paying the rent.

Consequences will be dire. They will almost certainly argue to fund the rent they will have to sell players in January.

Robins will not get a budget to work with. Robins is not Thorn -- he could walk.

Just been listening to CWR..SISU could save money by sacking their publicity company..CWR are doing an absolutely brilliant job for them at no charge.

There is no chance that Coventry City FC will be
locked out of the Ricoh or put into administration by ACL / Higgs Trust / Council. They would
be a laughing stock, having an arena with a fantastic football pitch / stadium, destroying the local football
team.

In Darlington there is a 25k seater stadium sitting mothballed with little prospect of any use any time soon - I don't think it's impossible something like this could eventually happen here, although would have to be more extreme given all the attached facilities, and at least there is the distant prospect of filling it with a bit of success

Half of the Bigi fee went on the academy. I'd guess the rest probably covered running costs which extend much further than paying rent.

Whether the rent is high or not for our well above average ground, they are contracted to pay and can't just refuse to pay as they don't want to. They would still be running at a loss even if they didn't pay a penny and all their statements are bullying tactics to split fans and try and get something for nothing.

Can you really blame the owners for trying to find an alternative ground to play at when they are paying 9x as much as other league one clubs !
Id much rather have the club playing in a smaller ground that we can fill, and the club make money from the food etc. and buy players like mcgoldrick to make a serious case for promotion,
This rent is unsustainable to a lot of clubs and ccfc is no different. OUR OWN COUNCIL is crippling OUR CLUB!
Is it fair to give CCFC so much stick ?

OUR CLUB sold its shares and got the tax payer to pay for its stadium!! Well done ACL wind it up!

There is 400,000 people living in cov and only on average 12,000 or less watch CCFC - WHY SHOULD THE 388000 let CCFC off not paying rent or give SUSI a cheap deal on buying the RIcoh!!!

Get a grip!!

I dont think any owners in league one or the championship would pay this rent its massively over priced. and they dont even get money for food, drinks, car park
council being greedy

feck THE COUNCIL

The Rent has to reflect that for 9 months in the year ACL cannot utilise fully the mult-use of this Multi-use stadium ,No CCFC = Greater use with paying paticipants, the club if smart enough could have found altrnative uses for the period of its tenure.

Knickers in a twist is maybe the wrong expression(??) but thanks for highlighting my stupidness! In all the annoyance of how our club is being run, ive ended up moaning about the wrong party

The rent is too high to sustain in league one but sisu agreed to pay that amount. It's sisus fault we dropped into lower league football yet try and blame everybody else but themselves.
Tim Fisher is like every other sisu mouthpiece that we've had to endure since Raymondo rode off into the sunset, full of bull.
I'm fearing the worst come Boxing Day. Where on earth will sisu find 1.1 million quid?

Totally agree to this. Anyone know when the contract would run out? I think it should change per division (a certain percentage of something) but I imagine that could prove to be a bit of a ballache for ACL to forecast finances.

They've invested millions , I'm sure another million isn't too hard to find. I thought they were trying to buy the stadium a while back? What happened to that money?
