I just think this is now the 5th time in 6 away games we’ve gone ahead then not won. If I were in his shoes it would make me look closely at what was going on, and brainstorm with my staff about how to fix it.

The thing is, for the first half of the season we *were* making tweaks during games and even anticipated problems before they happened. I really don’t know why we’ve reverted to just playing in identikit fashion for 90 minutes.
it's easy, when we take the lead. stop playing so fucking open and concentrate on defence, bring on another midfield or Cb to see games out!!!

Firstly I truly hope the deal for Onyeka is done. I also hope he’s our season’s saviour. Someone to galvanize the team, uplift sagging morale/confidence, add some much needed leadership/energy/ball-winning ability in midfield to help us be less exposed and knit things from back to front and help us be more on the front foot.

For some balance i believe its better to look at the stats in games where he played more minutes .. looking at games he started in AFCON for example his pass completion seems fairly decent, what stands out is how many ground duels and interceptions he made .

I think he will be a good player for us , fingers crossed

Pass completion 84.53% in bundesliga last season, he's not gonna be creative but can play 5 / 10 yard passes

Torp is 83.4 % this season to compare

I think the ball winning will be crucial for us , bit of presence and ability to drive it forward
We need a player that, when the momentum shifts during the game against us and we are under the cosh, he will stop it, nullify or disrupt it to shift it back. Maybe he could be that.

I’d drop Grimes at the minute tbh. And even if not we need to give someone else set piece duty. Maybe Rudoni for now.

I mentioned about his issue at Southampton a week or so back, and it’s things like the set pieces that make me think he has a foot injury. All of a sudden the guy who never misplaces a pass can’t strike a dead ball cleanly. It doesn’t make sense.
