Ah, I hadn't seen that because I'm well behind on here and have missed a lot of posts.

I agree with you. I think he is definitely more suited to the head coach role.
To be honest, think Lee Carsley would be a good pick up.

At the moment would be content with Lee, Frank or Rud, so weirdly excited to see the direction we move in and a new style of play.

its 100% not Lampard - the bookies would not be giving money away - theyve made their money on him, and are just trying to get a few who fancy a bargain

I read that last night and then this morning I saw that the Peterborough chairman is saying that MR would be a perfect fit for Luton.

Football can be bonkers at times 🙂
Good podcast where he talks about Doug and Mark. Interesting to hear an owners perspective. Thought Mark did the best job in the EFL but not too be too hard on Doug as decision wouldn’t have been taken lightly. Still thinks highly of him and thinks he’ll get it right

Good players don't make good managers, don't need the media circus, bring back Fadz etc

Whoever it is, really should be looking at playoff form:

Are we living in strange times.

The top 3 candidates for the City hotseat are 2 ex-world class players and the current England interim head coach.

5 years ago it would've been 2 ex Bedworth players and the current Aldi security guard.

Yeh but they are too famous innit. Bring back Doyler and Bakes as joint head coach

Play off form from now will not get us in the play offs. Oh and there is the small matter the best forward player we have is out for 3 months.

Yes that Pep Guardilola was an awful player, and Carlo Ancelotti

Great players don’t ALWAYS make great managers but they sometimes do …..

Johan Cruyff might be the best example.

That just makes me sad that we sacked Robins.
Yep I was certain it would turn eventually based on the underlying data. Bad luck was strong this season.

Having said that, if we can appoint RVN that is a game changer

I think there’s very little chance of us appointing him. He’ll probably hold out for a PL job.

I can't see a PL club punting on him. Likes of Southampton would go for a more seasoned relegation fighter?

If we appoint van Nistelrooy, I’ll give you the money myself.
Whilst I agree it seems unlikely at the moment surely Doug has to go with an ambitious appointment.

We didn't expect him to spend as big as he did but he has so I wouldn't rule anything out.

People talking like the season is over. The league’s wide open, for play offs especially.

IF we get a bounce and sort the team out we could easily out run together and storm up league.

plenty of time.

It's because the media just get quotes from random comments and take them out of context and whack a misleading headline on

Anyone with a heart will be gutted to see Robins be sacked. You’re right in saying there is a big opportunity to change things up and potentially pick up a coach from one of the elite clubs in the country.

It could be beneficial for us in the long run.

Think you’d find it very hard for anyone not to be upset at mark going and very much hope Doug was sincere when he talked about honouring what Mark did here.

But we aren’t going to get him back. Excited to see who they now pick and have a new tactical style to watch ( and try and understand as I’m a nerd like that).

Decision has been made, choosing to be positive as the other option would be moping around upset we scored a equaliser against the league leaders

I agree, we only need to achieve 3 more points every 10 games than the others, and that's assuming the current top 6 stays as it is.
