Issue with that though is if there (not saying there is) constant misinformation which damages trust in the club and this impacts the business, what is the owner meant to do if not come out and set the record straight?

It’s a damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Lampard is just his naivety in football imo since he’s being questioned on it all night but if you look into reports that’s a further along then he made out so might be a point where he’s comfortable to come out.

King has every right to defend himself after being called all the names under the sun and the likes of GIMOC constantly stirring the pot with their conspiracy theories. It’s up to us as individuals to choose what we believe. I’m sure some things he said were factual, whereas some things were no doubt twisted to suit his narrative.
People demanded an explanation and he gave one, not his fault that you didn’t like the answers. If he stayed silent or only answered pre-approved questions he’d have got hammered anyway so I have no issue with him telling his side of the story

You've posted some screenshot I missed which apparently stated players didn't fancy it on Saturday or Sheaf woke up and tild them he oeuldnt play. Again, is that for public knowledge? And did I hear somewhere that we were looking for a Director of Football - or is that in my imagination? If so what are the responsibilities of the Director of Football?

Looks to me as a complete outsider that King was very certain that MR should bring in a highly qualified assistant after AV left but it didn't happen (anyone have any ideas why not) - and King was far from certain that the structure could work without a highly qualified senior coach.

So would expect a new head coach to bring in an assistant at least.

Doug said he would due to the new structure of a head coach look to sign a director of football. In essence this job deals with all the work Doug has been doing. Sets budgets, signs and negotiates deals. They become the person responsible for the footballing side of the club so have control over signings, sacking the manager or recruitment analysts.

No manager gets 100% of what they want but having heard what King had to say I'm certain Robins received pretty much what he asked for and was given tools to succeed. It didn't work unfortunately, that's the end of it. The club comes first, always. Here's to a hopefully entertaining remainder of the season and a sustained push next season.
