Paul Telfer is now a Tiler on the South Coast.
Arjan De Zeeuw is now a detective in the Dutch police force.
Ysrael Zuniga is now a dentist back in Peru.
Dion Dublin is obviously on HUTH.
Jay Tabb became a jockey for a while.

Any more? Guessing pre 90s they'll be quite a few.

Oh and I'm ignoring Onandi Lowe becoming a drugs mule because I think he was arrested before he got paid.

Kevin Kyle now does a strange mash up between darts and podcasting. Does better hitting the target there than he did at CCFC

Paul Telfer played 9 seasons in the Premier league, and still has to work!

That just shows how financially the game has changed since his day, Even average players at poor Premier league clubs are financially set up for life after a couple of seasons.

There was a legacy of former players going into the motor (manufacturing) industry given what we used to do in this City.
I think both Ron Farmer (ironically) and Ernie Machin (almost) worked at Massey Ferguson at banner lane. There will have been many more at various locations.
I think Willie Carr became a salesman for an engineering company and Jeff Blockley founded his own engineering company.

He still is a postman! I chatted with him after the Pompey game. Said he would be up at 4am to get down the post office for his shift.

Tommy Hutchison opened a small sports shop in Everdon Road, Holbrook, way, way back. My in-laws lived a few hundred yards away, and I'd pop in to chat to him in his shop.

I remember Gerry Baker and Brian Hill working in the trim shop at the Jag plant in Brown's Lane when I was there. They both played in the first match I ever went to

Now, this is a story I’ve told before on here but apparently he took a job in the Vale of Glamorgan and played in a lunchtime 5a side football match regularly. Only stopping a matter of months before I was invited to play. Mutha fuckers!

Jim Holton opted for the number one former footballers choice of job in becoming a publican.
Made a good go of it too.
Alan Brazil did the same - A load of us went to his pub after an Ipswich away game mid '90's and he had the good grace to spend a bit of time with us.

I remember when I worked at Morris Engines back in the early 70's, Harry Barrett worked there as some sort of office gaffer. For those who don't have a clue who the great Harry Barrett was, he played for city from 1935 till 1952..
