Last I heard Greg Downs was a copper in Norwich. Arjen de Zeeuw is something like a forensic investigator in Holland.

That must be weird for the older generation, it would be like me going in Asda and seeing Peter Ndlovu on the checkouts or Noel Whelan stacking shelves.

I used to run the bars at a hotel and he came in. He seemed so happy that someone recognised him!

According to a mate a member of the FA cup winning team does regular agency work at the GAP warehouse in Rugby. Although he can never remember who.

I used to clean Ernie Machins house on Ansty Road and he worked in a factory in Wyken before retiring. George Curtis ran a chippy on Walsgrave Road the Chip Butty I think it was.

Chris Catlin did indeed own and run two rock shops on Brighton sea front. He was running them when he was asked to take over as Brighton manager and kept them while he did so. They made him an absolute fortune. He still owns the property and rents them out now. He is also the owner of a large portfolio of other property in Brighton. In addition he has a property business in Puerto Banus dealing with Costa del Sol properties. I doubt there are many old City players from those days who are worth as much as him.

Bill Glazier did run a hotel in Brighton, the Granville. We stayed there for a few days and he was a great host while his wife did all the work! After that he ran a pub in Gloucestershire, same deal. It all went wrong and he did spend a time working in Spain. He is now in the UK again and I believe he is now retired.

Not sure if this is true, but I heard Micky Quinn is a flat jockey and Leigh Jenkinson is an understudy for Michael Flatley in Riverdance
