Err, to be quite honest stu, I think you must now be up to about eleventy billions digs at Wasps. ;) Not wise to be bitter for eternity, mate. Life's too short.

Next to no-one wants Wasps here, but here they are and constant moaning about it ain't going to do any good whatsoever is it.

No, we can have a dig at our shite owners whenever we want.

Careful there, the SISU Stasi will be along in a minute for using words like SISU and shite in the same sentence ;)

The home form is a problem though isn't it?

Form at the Ricoh is atrocious.

It is and I think that is for a number of reasons. Lack of fans, resulting in lack of atmosphere, poor pitch, opposition teams raising their games.

I don't see the opposition raising their game argument at all.

Also all the other factors applied to six fields but the results there were better.

And must be a (the?) major factor in the poor attendances.

We're in April on Wednesday and we've had one home win since October - and that was a bit like a footballing re-enactment of the Alamo.

I wouldn't call 5 months an eternity Otis. I'm sure I'll become less bitter as time goes on, I didn't think it's unreasonable to be still pissed off about it 5 months into a 250 year agreement.

Yep, just 2 league wins in 15 since the wasps deal. I'm sure there is absolutely no coincidence.

Well that's what I meant. Not that it has been an eternity, but that it looks like it will be. ;)

I don't think we would be first team to have better away form than home and I'm sure it becomes physiological on the players behalf once a pattern starts.

I sure I remember Wolves many years ago in the championship (when it was league 1) having the best away form and worse home form one season. To the point where if their home form had matched their away form they'd have won automatic promotion but as it was they ended up outside the play offs.

Unless the deal gave Wasps the authority to tell SP what tactics to play and which players to sign, I think you may be reading a little too much into that.

It's bound to if had an effect. It's all about marginal gains, 1-2% here and there can make a big difference, this is one of the reasons for british and team sky's success.

You could argue TM's vision of more club memorabilia at the training ground is seeking to bring in a marginal gain.

So in the same instance, there are things that have marginal negative effects - the wasps deal, wasps churning up the pitch, getting turfed out the home dressing room, wasps memorabilia all around the place, no access to the internal warm area, is all going to have negative effects, especially after the euphoria of returning.

And so were our strikers by a mile. Once they were not playing for us our Sixfield results went drastically downhill.

So maybe we should go back there then.

Although you are talking sense all these marginal gains are eclipsed massively by the major negative of the people "running" our club.

Its akin to the imbalance in how many times the money is spent chasing the individuals that have dodged a few hundred pounds in tax as against the many times fewer people and corporations who dodge millions in tax individually.

I seem to recall posts last year, denying that moving to Sixfields would have/had any negative impact on performances.

Maybe we all just fit the facts to reinforce whatever views we already hold.

Whilst true, they all make a difference. I'm not holding wasps solely or even majorly responsible for our poor form, I'm saying it (along with other things) is a contributing factor.

Horrific defensive mistakes have led to defeats in two of the home games under Mowbray, the other a decent draw against Bradford.

Prior to this Steven Pressley was our manager.

In time Mowbray will turn the home form around.

Why would the opposition raise their game?

In an attempt to get something from the game? I don't know if you know how this works but you get 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for just turning up. At the end of the season if you have accumilated enough points you can gain either automatic promotion or go into something called the "play offs" the winner of which gains promotion but if you dont get enough points you can be demoted to a lower league.
