Thought it was said when the Ricoh was built that that was that and no larger capacity was possible.
Pretty sure that was said because I remember asking the question myself as to whether it was expandable or not.
Could tear the old one down and build a new one I suppose.

I just remember when it opened that my head was in the clouds and the Premier seemed on, so I asked the question if we could increase the capacity to 40,000.
Do think if there were any NFL franchise here it would have to be London. Talk about puting Coventry on the map though. An NFL team here would benefit the local economy in so many ways.
We of course wouldn't want it here though would we, cos it's a franchise.

The only option would be a second tier but you'd hit problems when you got the side of the group corporates are on as you have the exhibition hall right behind so can't build backwards. Unless that would support having something built on top of it you're stuffed, you'd probably have issues with having enough entrances and exits.
Can't see why you couldn't put a second tier on the rest of it, Southampton's ground is similar and they have had plans drawn up for a second tier.
Don't think it will happen though. If they don't think they can pull enough to fill Wembley every week, or a similar size ground, why bother moving a team over here.

Am convinced and NFL franchise will be in the UK in the not too distant future. The Wembley games are a massive success and on Saturday they closed down Regent's St and made it an American Football zone and they reckon 500,000 people turned up.
It's going to happen I'm sure.

problem is anyone in europe who likes the nfl already has a team so a new franchise would need to pull in new fans. you get fans from all 32 at wembley for the international series its a celebration of the nfl rather then a fanbase of a team. a francise might work for a few seasons but ultimately it would go the way of the jags half empty stadiums as people would wait and just go when teams they want to see are over. then there is the whole where would the team live, flight arrangement and who they would pay tax to. nfl owners are pushing it because they see it as 80k plus a week which is money in all their pockets. be interesting to see how it goes rumour has it next season we are getting 2 games on back to back weekends to test how well the pitch a wembley can handle it. i think id have a soft spot for a uk team but i wouldnt ditch the giants ive invested heavily in NYG both emotionally and financially (bloody import costs kill me)

Not quite so sure.
The way I see it is that I would continue to support the Redskins, but that the London UK NFL team would be my second team. Think that will be the same for most people. People won't change their allegiance and will stick with the teams they have got, but the new team would become their second team.
Think it helps greatly that at the mo all 'our' teams are in the US.

i personally would have a soft spot for them and pick and choose my games i couldnt commit to a season ticket that would be 240 in the cheap seats my hope for the international series is that it continues in its current form with 4 games a season (1 a month) i can even see it been split between us and germany as the germans have a big nfl fanbase they kept nfl europe going on their own towards the end

They would have to be sure it would sell out every time because if it doesn't there is a tv blackout in the local area for the game and Sky would love that but not sure how it works.
