Otis, mate.....We have one : )
I like the title but then again Rugby was never on my radar I cannot think of a sport I hate more then Rugby if it is on TV I would rather switch it off than watch it.
There will be an NFL franchise but it will be in London and if not an expansion team then it will be the Jacksonville Jaguars and sponsored by?
hats off to ACL for been ambitious but they are fighting well out of their league if they do try it. any english NFL team would be london based at most likely spurs new ground as they have been building up their relationship with the nfl for a few years. i love the sport but i dont want a british team it wouldnt work it sure as hell wouldnt work if ACL were involved. at risk of getting abused by everyone else on here otis which team do you follow?
Rugby Union is one of the most boring sports in the World.
American Football is Rugby Union with all the exciting bits taken out.
NFL > all forms of rugby
I do like to watch/play american football, I just hate all the breaks.
I must admit I would love to go to a game in America. Completely different ball game (pun intended) over there! It is a full on liver killing event!
I booked to go to a game in the US a few years back, but the travel firm went bust, so I lost all my money. Been 2 two Wembley games though and they were great.

Oh yeah, forgot about them. Yes, went to a couple of Monarchs games too.Me and a mate used to go and see the London Monarchs quite regularly.
I was a Houston Oilers man myself.
and played by benders.
....murderers surely?Maybe. Predominately wife batterers though, to be fair.
American Football is a terrible game watched and played by benders.
I can't because they wear those silly helmets.I'd like to see you try and say that one of the player's faces.
Oh no. I've been called a chav. Please don't.lmao the girls playing helmets thing is so stupid, such a dumb chav comment.
wait a min,its the same guy who said the never wants cov to get promoted to prem cos its full of premadonnas
lmao miserable sod.
Dont follow it at all but i agree there will be a growing presence in the UK very shortly given the increase of games over here. The major factor is around TV deals i guess as it would be more about who watches it on the box more than how many people sit in the stadium. It would be interesting to see if there is a constant mad rush for tickets like there is currently for these games if there was 15-20 games a season over here?
Research shows 2.8m people in UK consider themselves "very interested" in the NFL |
40,000 people (16yrs+) play in England once a month - double the number four years ago |
Four million watched the Super Bowl |
Washington Redskins.
Flatter to deceive for the most part. Stayed up til the early hours Friday morning to watch them play the NY Giants with great hope and they got totally slaughtered.
amoungst the city fanbase there seems to be a decent following for the nfl see alot of nfl hats and coats come the winter. was a wembley yesterday i seriously cant see how the ricoh would pull and event like that off there isnt enough space, parking or public transport to support an internation NFL game
