1/9 with skybet. Implied probability of 90%.

We will never get another chance like this.
I fully believe we'll finish in automatics and by Birmingham away, we'll know for sure because this is our most difficult period of the season now.

Sky Bet won't even take your money if you're betting on us finishing in the playoffs. Mathematically, it's more or less guaranteed because even averaging 1 ppg gets us to 69 points and might even be enough for playoffs.

Kevin Keegan’s Newcastle famously blew a 12 point lead they held in January to allow Man Utd the title, but even that wouldn’t deny us promotion.

It’s all very surreal at the minute. It’s odd but I feel almost a bit numb to it.

Every game we go into I’m genuinely expecting a win.

Don’t get me wrong I’m absolutely loving it, it’s weird being a Cov fan and people actually knowing a) who we are and b) up to date information (top of the table, 10 points, massive GD etc).

After years of saying I’m a Cov fan at work events, I get little response. Last week I presented to a very non-football audience in London, did my usual few CCFC references. and people actually asked me questions about it (not many on the actual topic of my talk but you can’t win them all).

It’s all stuff I’ve seen happen to friends / colleagues of other teams and it doesn’t feel real it’s now us.

The journey since that L2 semi away Notts County has been incredible.

Still cant figure out why im always nervous as fuck! Its getting worse as il getting older.

Keep telling myself ...Enjoy it! Embrace it!

Its only football! Getting stressed about watching a bunch of millionaires kicking a ball about.

Am i in the minority!?
Probably in the minority, but certainly not alone by a long chalk.
I keep thinking surely we have to lose sooner or later, but it ain’t happening.
Only missed Wrexham this season, due to miss Preston.
Thinking I am gonna have to upset family and sod off to Preston on my own. Just be in the dog house for a while.

I should be able to enjoy it. I just can’t help but feel like we’ll fuck it up and it’s the best chance for a long time and probably a long time after!

The only game I didn’t wear my lucky bucket hat was the Wrexham game. My wife has hidden it because I’m refusing to go to a Country and Western night out in Nottingham tonight. Keep an eye on the news later there is a high chance of an incident in North Leics involving a married couple in their late 50’s.

To me, it feels like every game is as important as the last. Memories of relegation battles when in the top flight still loom large.

It’s just as enthralling. TBH I want a similar euphoria as the Man United game but with the win.

For fucks sake man! Swallow your pride, pull on your chaps, strap on your spurs and get to the rodeo.

It’s nice not to be that team who nicks the first goal and think ‘we could get something here’, only to be slapped back on to our arses for the rest of the game. We are the slappers!

One game at a time though. Ask me again Feb/March time

Ngl i still dont think i will believe it even if we kick off in the prem next season. Will take a while to remember its not an FA cup game. Think it will sink in when we are on MOTD though

People at work have started asking me about us and messaging me after wins.

I’ve known nothing like this. Even when we were in the top flight nobody gave a shit.

Nope

Weirdly, I am getting more stressed this season. Maybe because we have set the bar so high

Updated.

Of the 'challengers' all bar Middlesbrough and Millwall need to perform at a minimum of a 99 point season from here on to reach 90 points.

If we believe the bookies, Ipswich are expected to be our biggest challengers. They need 2.17 ppg from here compared with our 1.68 to hit 90.

For those worried about Southampton they'd probably have to win 21/22 of their last 28 to make that milestone.
