It's difficult to look at the table below and not feel incredibly confident about this season.

It looks at the table as it stands, what each team would need to do from here to reach 90 points, and then compares that with how they've performed over their last 46 matches.

In summary, we can afford to drop our standards slightly from what we've done over the last 12 months and still make 90.

Compared with literally every other 'challenger' who would need to see a SIGNIFICANT improvement on what they've been doing to get anywhere close to 90. The only side who you can't properly judge using this table are Ipswich who obviously played most of their last 46 games in the PL, but whether we finish 2nd or 1st the destination is the same.

Anyway, in summary IT. IS. HAPPENING.

93 points still available. I think of them 93 points, we need maybe 50? 55? 60 I think would guarantee autos! To get 60 points we're looking at 1.9 points per game.
Though people keep saying there are no "100point teams" in the league this season standing out, we're well ahead of Leeds and Burnleys curve at the same point last season who had 29 and 27 points respectively after round 15.

Does anyone else feel like this is a repeat of the 19/20 league winning season? The season it felt like we’d beat everyone home and away after we got going.

WBA and Boro are two tough teams but I just think we’ll beat them both. In fact, to run the risk of being called delusional, this is the year we beat PNE at Deepdale.

That's a very interesting table, in 2 or 3 games time it's possible virtually every team outside the current top 2 or top 3 could require an extrapolated total of over 100 points.

Please don't do this to me.

It's the hope that kills you.

It's not just how well we are doing, but how comparatively badly other teams are.

On the (big?) assumption that 'borough falter with the manager going I can't see them or the next 4 currently behind them down to Ipswich being genuine top 2 contenders.

Not ready to look that far a head yet need a minimum of 9 pts from the next 5, get that and ill start to look at what others need and what we need per game to make it.

Going to be a good watch, and going to get nervy if we carry on our current trend.

It should be on the playlist at the CBS before the game start.
Totally with your sentiment. However if you take the lyrics literally its about avoiding the drop in top flight. So maybe we should save it until we are promoted again and fighting to stay up! How good would another rendition of 'we are staying up' again back in top flight?!!

Just played it and yes its a bit 'cheeesy' but its wonderful in its own way.
