Who remembers this guy? Looked like an insurance salesman, and moved around the pitch like one too, but had an incredible thunderbolt shot on him.

Yep - looking at his record, he scored 21 in 79 for us in the top flight which is impressive (considering I don't think he played as an out-and-out striker, and I would guess a lot of the appearanaces were as a sub). His general play wasn't great, but it was a joy to see him hit the ball - he thumped it so hard it actually used to make me laugh.Steve Whitton ?

Remember him doing a sliding tackle (foul) on a Swansea player at HR but his momentum took him through that player and the guy behind him too. The SBA were highly delighted !Steve Whitton ?
