He never got a fair crack of the whip as manager.

Never thought Le Tissier looked like a footballer, especially considering some of the outrageous skill he was capable of.

Definitely more prop forward than footballer, but more footballer than rocket scientist!

Who remembers this guy? Looked like an insurance salesman, and moved around the pitch like one too, but had an incredible thunderbolt shot on him.

Yep - looking at his record, he scored 21 in 79 for us in the top flight which is impressive (considering I don't think he played as an out-and-out striker, and I would guess a lot of the appearanaces were as a sub). His general play wasn't great, but it was a joy to see him hit the ball - he thumped it so hard it actually used to make me laugh.

Remember him doing a sliding tackle (foul) on a Swansea player at HR but his momentum took him through that player and the guy behind him too. The SBA were highly delighted !

He's what would happen if a Lego man got given his wish to be a real boy.

That was one of our best strips.
Although I would not recommend him as the model for it.

The tramline kit was iconic. Other than straight-up skyblue, the kits that have followed have been shee-ite.
