Most of the vids I seen are negative about the UI , I just mean it looks ok to my eye. Homepage portal etc

Question is should I spend £1000 on a laptop that runs it smooth and future versions over next 5 years or go for a cheaper one that does the job still
Found this on HUKD site!

It looks the biz at only £679 from Amazon, hope that helps you decide and it'll be awesome for FM26and beyond too.(y)

I've quit FM18 and started an FM19 save now!

Started with Coventry Sphinx, signed a lopt of youngsters (regens) first season, pissed the league tbf......then came the real challenge, as with all the youngsters coming outta youth contracts into NON-contract status .....they were all snapped up by bigger clubs for fookin free! didnt get one penny for em, pissed me right off, after all the hard work I bought into it...very frustrating and meant I'd have to sign a whole new squad and it would 100% happen again next year too.

So much so, I ditched the save (which I had been really enjoying) and started a brand new one with City instead.

Did I bale too early or has anyone else experienced this and can advise?
I guess I could have used the loan market but wanted to grow my own players ofr profit!

Yeah it happens constantly at the lower league level I'm playing at - can never get round to fully completing a squad because my players just get snaffled up for nothing & you're on a permanent cycle of starting again

Yeah I'm just wondering if it means I'm locked into something or signing up to some sorta plan that's gonna cod time later etc

Why would they just give you 169 off?!
it's a one off voucher added at checkout, no catch as far as I can see!

Ok mate, I might add that I've had a touch screen laptop before and it was a good make but ultimately I hardly used the touchscreen!

Did you persevere with the save? if so, what did you do for recritment wise?

Is new FM worth a purchase?
As someone who has played the game (in this version and the other one) since CM 93/94, I haven't been able to get stuck into a save yet. I think the game is going to be a cracker when the modders can really get their hands on it. I've tried a few saves, but I can't quite get to the 'I can't wait to have time to load the game up again' moments yet.

But to answer you question, I'd say yes. It's definitely playable and I'm sure people are having some great saves on it. It's just missing a little bit of immersion for me at the minute. But it will get there, I'm sure.

On my FM19 Save we are NOT leaving the EU, apparently!

Where as in FM18, we DID leave and had a limit of 17 foreign players.

I'm not sure which system is better? Please discuss re. FM not real life situation 🤣

I really don't like the work permit system, as it can be a PITA at time's! Where as 17 foreign players I can bare with!

Convince me please! As I love an Ecuadorian 15 year old wonder kid....😇

I think your version was the one where each persons save is different re the EU & Brexit etc - ie some people in their save stayed & others left
Purely random

I've tried to go back a day or two and then continued...but it's always a NON-Brexit, it's possibly hard-cooded with each save....either non-brexit or brexit, as you say Baldy.

I quite liked the 17 foreigners rule, as their were no work permits.

I haven’t enjoyed it so far. To echo @Potbellypig I think it’s hard to immerse yourself into it. You feel like the main character as you would in a fifa career mode rather than a small part of a huge football world like the old FM’s.

Weird how things like cup draws, deadline day etc can have that effect.

@Chicken Mcgraw What do you mean exactly when you say it feels more like you’re the main character?

I’ve considered buying FM26 but deeply sceptical following the shambles that was FM25 cancelling as well as YouTubers like Zealand critiquing the product a bit.

It’s a good while since I bought and played FM, last one was FM20 but it’s a franchise that’s close to heart from the first games I played (FM09 or 10 iirc).

If I was you I'd definitely buy FM24 plus download the English lower league database too - that takes you down to level 15 or something of the football pyramid & it's just mental how many different leagues & regional cup competitions there are
Plus the gameplay itself is just really good & immersive
