Fair play for hopping clubs but I find it difficult not to build a club dynasty!I managed to win the African Champions League with City Rovers (weird name). Then won four Indonesian League One titles with Perish on the way to failing to claim the Asian Champ League - could only make it to the semi-final at best - so I resigned and moved to CZ Mighty Lions (another weird name) in China in search of that elusive silverware. Two seasons in and we're stupidly rich (£80m in the bank) but even bang average Chinese players are priced in the multi-millions and no-one wants to join as the club repuation is almost non-existant. Have to say, it's very enjoyable hopping clubs and not being able to build a dominant dynasty.
Got back on the FM18 train, didn't I.....I love the longer saves, as you can build a dynasty!Further proof that the longer into the game you go, the more it loses its mind
Thanks to the bungling development of the new game allowing me to carry on with this one, after winning everything and now this there's only an unbeaten season left to do. Great days at James Maddison Stadium (conferences and functions are held in the Marcus hall)
Agreed, as I remember it being very slow indeed back in the day, zooms like a goodun now!I gave in and bought a new laptop, primarily for FM. I used to think my processing speed wasn't too bad, but even a mid-range modern laptop is insanely quick nowadays. Barely even a pause between days now. Revolutionised my FM experience.
Wow, I was a little angry there! my excuse is, I'd just lost to a "super keeper" shit team with 1 shot on target after dominatingAgreed, as I remember it being very slow indeed back in the day, zooms like a goodun now!
My one bugging thing is the match and why my players KEEP SHOOTING LONG! ffs annoying af....
anyone got any tips for my players not too? perhaps if I tick the "be more disciplined" box? but then I enjoy my players to have a little more freedom!
To nobody's surprise they're skipping 25

Gives me some more time to carry on my Leamington save.
I hear they tried to add Coventry City to the database but we’re too huge, it kept crashing. To nobody's surprise they're skipping 25

Yeah I’ve got the 20 level one but I havent gone further down than Isthmian Prem just yet, I may start a create-a-club side at one of the lower leagues when I complete or get bored of this road to gloryI can't recommend downloading the level 15,(I think it is),lower league database highly enough - so many obscure random teams along with the proper regional cups etc
I luv it
Your loss, it's pretty good and the screens are pretty logical just different.I've played between 500 and 1k hours on every single FM since 2011 (according to Steam) and probably every year since CM93/94 in reality.
I refunded this after 2.3 hours. It's woeful. Slow, buggy, illogical flow to the screens, missing features, migraine inducing text and colours, weird boxes around names, graphics that are still 10 years behind the times, and on and on it goes. I'm devastated.
I truly hated every second, and Steam refund policy is ~2 hours so I took advantage of that. No amount of perserverence could make me look past the issues. But glad you find it ok, perhaps it's just my taste.Your loss, it's pretty good and the screens are pretty logical just different.
Should have given it more time as 2.3 hours is really not enough. Oh well.
It's just a different game, it's also only the beta version so there will be bugs as that is the point of this release and you can report the bugs via the option in bottom right.I truly hated every second, and Steam refund policy is ~2 hours so I took advantage of that. I expected FM to play like FM, yes. Not the UI, but the actual soul of the game. Instead it felt like pop-up menu simulator, with the data and stats poorly presented, hidden, incomplete. If you enjoy it then fair play, have a good time. It's just a different game, it's also only the beta version so there will be bugs as that is the point of this release and you can report the bugs via the option in bottom right.
I just think some people have expected it to be like the previous FMs.
yeah, the tactics are really goodReally enjoy the tactics this year. Already trying to recreate Lampard‘s tactics which is easier now with the in and out possession
