We're at the game today, thought it was the bloke down by the tunnel at the start.

Listening to him on cwr with Shane o Connor Wednesday, and I didn't think he realised what sort of job he's took on and what sort of mess this club is in

I'm not at all convinced he will stay past the 8 weeks.

Without the backing from the board I think he will be looking for, I reckon he could be off and there is nothing to suggest he will get that degree of backing.

The club is down the toilet at the moment. It's not a challenge, but more of a lost cause at the moment.

I agree Otis. Even if we manage to survive yet another drop down a division, I don't think he'll stay. I just think he's using this opportunity to feather his own nest. Save Coventry City and then wait for a bigger club to come in for him - getting back into football through us. Call me cynical, but I refuse to believe anything until I see the end result. I said in an earlier thread that I will reserve judgement on Mr Mowbray. I still stand by that.

He's only here for the money ... Who in the right mind would take this job on ... He really couldn't give a fuck about this club..
I was talking to Big Fat Ron at a cancer fund raising do last year in Bolton and he said he was offered the £££ plus a nice bonus to keep us up . Other than that he would not have taken the job at Cov .. TM is no different !!!

Is it te right club?

Let's wait and see

:thinking about:

Right club, wrong owners. I hope he stays longer than the 8 weeks but I can't see it without some wholesale change in the boardroom and overall strategy change from SISU.

How sad that other football clubs' fans know OUR owners; where beyond premier league big wigs, wouldn't know many others.

Probably heard more of sISU than our players.

Problem is, they believe the propaganda, just like FLS has.

Most fans of other clubs always ask me "I thought you lot were debt free or loaded now" etc...

I think its pretty straightforward, he will stay if:

1. We stay up
2. He is given what he sees as adequate funding

So No.1 makes it unlikely and No.2 makes it very unlikely.

True. You only ever know about the bad ones; ours, Blackburn, Blues, Blackpool...also sad that even the pundits realised the rot started exactly ten years ago when we left HR.

Sakho's sending off was a joke too. Also what a miss by Murphy!

If we go down he is gone. However he doesn't strike me as someone who wants a relegation on his CV and even if he goes right afterwards keeping us up is all that matters. Then in the summer try and untangle the off field and on field messes.

It's short termist but going to League 2 is incomprehensible.

He will be gone at the end of the season whatever happens. We are just a stepping stone on his journey back to Football. Sad but true

If that is so one must wonder why he didn't apply.

How do you know he never applied ?

There are many clubs who need a high profile manager in higher leagues but he chose US..

He thinks he is better than this league so a eight week contract suits him as he will be gone whichever way we end up...

2 games in and two defeats with Bradford to follow quickly............and if we don't get to grips with that big lump Hanson we'll pay a heavy price !

The club stated that he did not apply, he was approached.

Was it not Waggott who approached him? If he is better than this league he would have taken the job in a higher one. Why use us as a stepping stone if he could go where he liked anyway?

He thinks he's better than L2, hence the 8 week contract.

Not sure how good/bad he is, but CWR kept saying that every time P Vale had an opportunity he buried his head in his hands - as a bit of body language that doesn't convey confidence to the players or the fans! (however, it shows he cares about what's happening - though I'd prefer he watched all of it, as he might miss something important if he is looking into the palms of his hands!!)

He's dipping his toes back in the water ready for his big move back in to football . If you can't see that then you're looking through with them sky blue glasses on again. I'd love to be wrong but I won't be.
