Chairman: OK gentlemen, let's call this meeting to order. OK, first on the Agenda we have Coventry City. <looks puzzled>. Oh yes, I remember now; in the Midlands aren't they?
Board member: You know I was thinking what a damn shame Luther has ended. Superb series.
Chairman: <puts down agenda>. Absolutely. Fantastic actor...

When he starts talking about us, watch his eyes, they never lie! Also, Bet he looks at his watch when he hears the word 'Coventry'.

They may be hypocrites with their 'real fans' guff, but dammit if they're not right about Luther.

Never watched it...I was tempted when I saw that the guy who played Surrey in The Tudor's was in it as his enemy/boss, but having missed the previous series, figured it was probably too late..

I missed the first series so one character's return went over my head a little, but otherwise it was all self-contained. I hated that fella, I could neither understand the point of him or get past his just slightly too quiet grumble.

Shocking! S*Y sports news think that Suarez and Bale are more important topics than Coventry, perfect example of how football has lost any shred of dignity.

I love his tone of understated menace/arrogance. I could turn for that voice...

In fact, I'm going to try hearing his voice in my head instead of Charles Hawtrey's whenever I read a post by Grendel...I'll probably like everything he types :D

If that's his voice in everything you'd love him in Luther. It took me a while to even work out he was Scottish, and I've got fine Och Ayedar.

'It is sad and regrettable but we had no choice. Our hands were tied. It's very unfortunate that this is Coventry City rather than Manchester United or Chelsea. Had it been one of the big 6 we would have moved heaven and earth to sort this out properly. Coventry are a League One side though, so basically ...... we don't give a flying fuck.'
