Hi all,

Did it concern anyone else that amongst all the smoke screen and general blurb yesterday, that he effectively said that the wage bill will be nearly the same as this year. Even if this is to be believed, surely a wage bill the same as this year just won't be good enough to get us out of League one, perhaps even not allow us to compete in that league, heaven forbid that we actually end up near the relegation zone again ...

Anyone else see concerns over the players budget for next season now ?

To be honest P clouting stated AT had the same budget as Bothroyd (LIED),, but the most worrying thing for me was that Sisu have yet to sign this off any of next years budget...With no accounts filed no rent paid this could be a very bad time for CCFC...

A few more games to be had too in League One with entering the cups at an earlier stage and this Jonnstone Paint Trophy thing.

We are going to need a bigger squad and this we were saying if we remained in the Chaampionship.

Eastwood, Wood, Craine all on decent wages and will more than likely not be here next season

You cant get much change out of 20k a week from them 3

With that, you willbe able to get at least 5 players who can more than compete in League One..

I would take the same budget as this year, just dont think that would be the case, I bet its reduced.

If you take Fisher and Thorn's statements as given then this suggests to me that we will try to sell/ release those players with the higher salaries and replace them with more players who cost less. More bodies, less quality. Of course, as this is Sisu, I guess we'll have too wait to see if the number of senior pros on the staff does actually increase...

Without wishing to credit or believe a word Fisher is saying we may be better off with fewer kids but a bigger squad.
Pains me to say it but will Bigi, Christie etc cut it in Div 3?
We may have to sacrifice one or two to bring in a few experienced scrappers in the mould of Wood, Hermann and McPake. It is a very physical league and our kids may not be up to the physical challenge. The 3 kids in midfield yesterday were awful.
No. 1 priority is a big, ugly goalscorer.

Well one minute we hear we have the same budget from fisher,Richard keys is saying were being liquidated,hard to know what to believe I just want the season ended and if hoff is serious then get in and seal the deal and then you will get the fans backing the club rather than the fans being divided

I think untill we see actions words should be taken with a pinch of salt, and that is why we need the season to finsh so we we can get everything in order before pre season starts!

Fuck Tim Fisher and all the Locusts who run this club. Do you really think he gives a shit, all he cares about is the wages that hit his bank account each month.

The statement is pathetic, its a standard load of bollocks. I hope we go down again and go bust so we can get rid of these locusts once and for all because they wont leave until nothing is left. As long as we have a club i dont care what form it is in because with the support we have natural selection will make us successful again.

Clingan, Cranie and Herman will likely leave on free, Norwood and Nimely will likely go to other champ clubs on loan. Eastwood, Bell and ROD all need to be shipped out.

Surely that is over 35k p/w to put back into the squad.
We need to give us a competitive squad
3 forwards
1 LB
1 CB
2 wingers
3 CM

We could probably only sign 2 CM if we don't plan on playing the diamond, if we do plan on playing diamond we could probably get away with only signing one winger as well.

I thought there was a salary cap in League 1- 55% of turnover- which would mean we have to cut wages even further.

Most of our players are on a low wage as most of our players are from a lower division/academy. Also our higher earners will think they are above Div 3 so will want to leave. The vultures will be out soon picking up any bits of decent meat left at our club. It will be a good chance to rebuild a squad that will be capable of going places in Div 3

a similar or slightly lower wage bill should be fine for league one imo

as soemone above said,cranie,clingan and eastwood will go for sure,leaving us with 20k approx to give to other players,maybe sisu will only allow us 10k of that but thats still 2-3 replacements in league one

I heard TIM FISHERS interview this morning. Got the distinct impression liquidation is definately on.

His responces were real caught in the lamplight stuff. His pretence lead only to more concern. I can see the fact they can't pay the rent on a 40 year contract as a flag they are about to leave.

I don't feel hoffman is a serious buyer. No one else is interested. With no ground and no way to make money. ... it is unlikely any other party will want to invest in us.

Now the council and acl make 85 percent profits with out the sky blues participation they won't sell to anyone now until the stadium becomes a little dated.

It adds up that liquidation is a very serious proposition... fishers comments today simply amplified the fear.

Can other creditors not block liquidation? I was under the impression that port vale had a winding up order issued against them by hmrc, the local council as a creditor then applied to have them put into admin, something acl could do?
