Chief Commentator!
Seems some clubs are already falling foul of FFP. Man City being one, and getting fined nearly the same amount that we're in debt (or not in debt as is probably the case), yet it's also pocket money to them

@SkySportsNews: BREAKING NEWS: Manchester City fined £48.86m & ordered to reduce Champions Lge squad to 21 players for next season

Not sure how reducing a Champions League squad can be a punishment though?

Funny thing, their squad size for CL reduced to 21 next season. Number of players to receive pitch time in Champions League matches for Manchester City last season...21. They must be gutted *sarcasm*.

Suppose it's just to discourage them from stockpiling players, as they won't be able to use them in the CL.

The amount of money in the game is ridiculous now, cardiff got £62m for finishing bottom and that's before the 4 years Parachute payments they'll get, yet a championship side gets just £4.6m, league one £325k and league two £250k.

This pot of gold just encourages clubs to massive overspend and gamble to try and get there.

Stand firm authorities. Let's have strict squad numbers and limited transfer windows and loans.

An amount of those have to be homegrown players, and that amount will remain the same with 4 less places for non-British players.

Makes you wonder who decides on what fine is appropriate for what offence haven't you;

This figure for failing to meet FFP compared to the figure given to a club who's fans racially abused a player?

Exactly. For years they have failed to take racial abuse serious. This for me only proves this. I wonder if any player will be prepared to voice this through the media.

Wenger had it right when he said financial penalties won't work, they need to start banning teams from competition's. Such as the champions league.

But you've just sort of proved the point of why it is so important to get to the PL. There is fuck all to play for in any other league.

Or just let them get on with the spending if they have a rich owner let him spend his money but loading the club with debt is not acceptable though.

If somebody wanted to change the shirt colours I would be delighted I can't stand Sky Blue but back in Coventry is the most important thing for me and preferably with new owners.
