I just watched "Robot Monster' from 1953.
An alien in a gorilla suit and a space helmet arrives on Earth, sets himself up in a cave and proceeds to wipe-out mankind with a 'death ray'.
Unfortunately eight people escape destruction and wouldn't you just know it, they are within walking distance from his cave.
And that a good thing because he has no transportation and has to walk everywhere even though he is a somewhat obese alien.
Hilarious film.

Yes, it's truly awful! I forced the girlfriend to watch the first 2 which she enjoyed and she said glass is the worst film she's seen in ages.

Balls, reckon I'll still watch it though, but will have to lower my expectations a bit!

"Robot Monster" is on Youtube if you have an hour and a half of your life to waste away. Tons of other great fifties and sixties sci-fi films as well.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - 8.5/10

Another "oldie" film, but what a cracker, Frances McDormand is superb in this too!

I liked it quite a lot, but was slightly disappointed it wasn't as good as I was led to believe it was going to be.

Maybe my expectation was too high.

Very good performances, but it fell a little short for me. I do find that with so many Oscar winning films though over the years.

I was the opposite Otis. I really wasn't expecting too much, mainly because of the title - I thought it was a bit strange - but the missus wanted to see it. I have to say, I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it.

Oldie?!
It's not been out that long. I don't even consider films from the 90s oldies!!
I watched this within the last couple of years I'm sure, cracking film.

Ralph Breaks the Internet

Middle aged man hangs around video arcade, befriends tiny girl and introduces her to the Internet. Nothing creepy about that at all!

Just watched about 25 mins of Abducted in plain sight on Netflix. Couldn't watch any more - bewildered by the family involved.

Just watched "Grand Prix" from 1966.
Fantastic film if you are into motor racing. Almost 3 hours though, a long one.

Watched "Split" last night, only due to the fact that James McAvoy is on the front of the "Glass" poster! And immediately worked out he was in it too! (whose a clever boy).

Anyhow, pretty good and looking forward to Glass, as I thought "Unbreakable" was awesome.

Watched Unbreakable last night. I switched over after an hour or so. I really couldn't get into it at all. I just thought Bruce Willis was just playing the same role as he did in the Sixth Sense. Not much different except the Sixth Sense had a good story and a great twist at the end. Don't know if Unbreakable has a twist at the end. I didn't get that far!

Watched Captain Marvel.

Really enjoyed it. Solid origin movie (for both Captain Marvel and Nick Fury) and pretty funny in places. Probably around Ant Man and Dr Strange levels. Did the job of tiding me over until Endgame next month (squeals excitedly like a teenage girl).

I’m a Marvel fanboy. Can’t get enough of the MCU and can’t wait for the culmination of a 10 year, 20 movie storyline.

But I can understand that, previous review should be seen through that lens.

Just sat and watched (via Kodi) Stan & Ollie with Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly. Absolutely brilliant! Loved it! I grew up watching Laurel & Hardy movies as a nipper so to see this movie was a real joy. Brought a lump to my throat at the end (not ashamed to say!).

Fighting with My Family (2019) - Reference View - IMDb

Loathsome movie! I took an instant dislike to it. It's made for Channel 4 despite the big movie pretence so the letterboxing is completely unnecessary. Dwayne Johnson is only a guest star despite the top billing. The sound effects are overblown and drown out the dialogue. Worst of all Nick Frost is in it which is the kiss of death for any movie.

Last two films I've seen.

John Wick 3 - It's pretty much mental non stop action from the start but in a good way. I was in stitches at certain scenes including one where John Wick uses a horse to kill people, but not in the way you'd think. 8/10

Rocketman - The musical parts are great and Egerton can sing but it's a bit too dark. Elton is mostly sad and drunk throughout the film. Still miles better than Bohemian Rhapsody though. 7/10
