Feels weird? (27 Viewers)

It would be a disappointment If we didn’t win it, but I wouldn’t let it define what we’ve achieved. If you’d offered me autos but just missing out on the title in August after the Hull game (a side tipped by many to be relegation fodder given their off field issues) I’d have had your whole arm off. Given there are sides likely relegated with bigger budgets than us, let alone the rest of the top half of the table, we’re on the absolute cusp of a remarkable achievement. It’s a win-win either way in the greater scheme of things for me.

You want the moon on a stick. Even the greatest sides have off days.
It was a hard night for attackers because both defences were on top of their game. You can’t expect easy goals through shit defending every week.
We managed 1 shot on target against Hull. It was a poor performance by our standards. The result was fine, we all would have taken a point before kick off. You can play poorly and be happy with the result. Both of those things can be true at the same time.

The performance against Sheff Wed was awful and no one can defend it. Nobody in the stadium was expecting us to play as badly as we did, no energy, lethargic etc.

So that's two poor performances in a row which is what I said during my original post and answers the OP's question of why it feels weird currently.

Were we really that bad? They had 5 defenders and 4 midfielders right in front of them. We knew before the game it wasn't going to be easy although we knew we should win. We had 5 blocked shots including one headed off the line and we also hit the woodwork.

We’ve played the last 2 games not to lose, wouldn’t be surprised if we do the same Friday, play it safe to get the point, the only selfish thing about that is we might not get to to see them lift the trophy after the Wrexham game unless Ipswich lose a couple

Yes, this.

Limping over the line is hardly the standard this amazing season has fed us, and I for one am hungry for more glorious entertainment before the inevitable baptism of PL mismatches and VAR frustrations.
“Limping over the line”

Fucking hell.

Tayo Adamarola, their left back, wasn't he the lad we had on loan from Palace and sent him back??? looked pretty rapid to me for them.
