Another day in the life of a Cov fan.
Tomorrow, prepare yourselves it's gonna be an oily Sisu bullshit fest.

Indeed, they even gave some bullshit about the Ricoh being the same design because of the panelling on the outside!

Was utter madness, but then so was building a team of the likes of Hadji and Keane at that time, let alone the likes of Nedved, Van Nistlerooy, Jarni, etc who we were supposedly involved with.

Richardson was mental.

The irony is, the original design probably made more sense moving than what we ended up with, as the whole point was it allowed the stadium itself to be used for many other things, wasn't just the football... if the club had moved out of *that* there'd have been a lot less anguish from a stadium management company!

But in the end we got something just a little bit better, and we didn't even own the bugger.

Genuinely think Richardson less mental than most we had recently, as at least he had a vision. Sure, it failed, but if instead of ousting him we'd gone into admin, we'd have still owned a stadium site, and had an option to buy back the stadium we were playing in...

I think they will show an artist impression, but that it will just be a photo of the Ricoh with the name Ricoh airbrushed out. They are banking on our fogetting what the Ricoh looks like and voila, new stadium!!

Sources within CBRE are stating the Club have primed the press with materials for tomorrow, that will disclose generic Stadium Designs, although as yet they have no land to sit the stadium on. They will also make any land purchase conditional on attaining planning, which will prove a tall order, so for those awaking early to listen to Shane, do not hold your breath.

Well I was getting a bit excited now I'm not. Said in another thread early just showing plans without any land purchase was meaningless. If they're not going to purchase land until they get planning permission doesn't that leave them open to someone buying the land during that process? Can't imagine there's many suitable sites that would give them the years of exclusivity needed to get permission if there was another possible buyer. Sounds like a convenient excuse for not buying any land.

I seem to recall an "artists impression" of the Ricoh unveiled by Richardson with a retractable roof and sliding pitch. It did not end up that way though. With this lot we will end up with jumpers as goalposts!

Not only was there an artists impression there was a working model of it in the boardroom at HR, I remember having a go at sliding the pitch out!

Perhaps Fisher has done a deal with Gallagher as he has lots of land, and they have recently done a deal on the Gallagher retail park, although Tony is not stupid and would see through Sisu, I hope

The sad thing about those is that I didn't realize how good Highfield Road looked. When you look at the Ricoh, it really does sink in how utterly stupid Sisu have been in not taking the latest offer that was made. Anyway, fuck it, I'm off to bed, lets see what later this morning brings.

Good morning all. Excuse me for my incoherent posts later. On an all day bender on works do today

Whatever comes out today could be good news even if we don't think so at the time. Whatever it is could force the other sides hand. Had enough of the guessing, silly arguing, point scoring, being in Northampton, secrecy........in fact just about everything the last few seasons.

Looking forward to 6am. Will either be celebrating or drowning my sorrows, but as usual being a CCFC fan will take it on the chin. We are used to that. Peace to all X

great post, have a good day pal. I have a feeling you may be drowning your sorrows though. Like you say, all in the life of being a ccfc fan.

The Architect has worked previously on Stamford Bridge and the Camp Nou, but decided to design a 'travel version' for us.

Seen so many of these "plans" before with other projects. Many of which were never built.

Without the land, planning permission, and, public support for this plan it will never happen.

If anything I laughed at the news, and how transparent it appears.

I would imagine that despite an all day bender, you would still talk more sense than the buffoon that is Fisher.
