I think you're right here BSB ,Its more the timeline of the recruitment of manager thats lagging ,maybe when they announced the forum the envisaged having him in place.

Or every difficult question will be answered with "Well wait and see, when the new manager is in place things will really improve".

edit - of course you wont be allowed to ask much of this and those questions you do get to ask will be washed over, not really answered. Which is why I havent tried to attend the Forum tomorrow

Exactly the same reason I won't waste my time going as it would only make my blood pressure go sky high with frustration

At least listening on CWR I can take some consolation that I didn't waste my time travelling

We were out of the bottom three on the 31st of March following our win at Hull and the previous week beating Portsmouth put us on the verge of climbing out of the relegation spots. What date did the window close then ?

Thursday the 22nd.

Before the Portsmouth game. We signed Nimeley and Norwood, and in all honestly, they looked enough to keep us up

First question on the list has to be.

"Phil Brown is supposedly on the shortlist to be the next manager. Have you not read the City forums and how protected are the Sisu offices from attack by pitchforks?"

Cloughie, your post contains a quote from OSB that I'm not smart enough to be able to include here. Both of you suspect that answers to questions tonight will be evasive and disingenuous; you are both probably right. But don't you think it would be a good idea to attend the forum and challenge such answers? Or is that sort of thing not allowed? I can't get to these forums so I don't know the format. Could someone tell me? If a load of bullshit and PR spin is being spoken, is there no way of challenging it? At least that way TF will know what people think of his waffle.

Any awkward questions will be brushed aside and anyone pursuing the same line of questions will be side stepped by clive eakin and co at CWR by the line of 'we have covered that subject etc so lets move on, next question'

I didn't realise that CWR ran these forums, but even so, if the 'let's move on, next question' crap is said, why can't the next question be 'Could we please have a proper answer to the last question?' Or are there rules about who can ask questions and when?

In previous Fans Forums under Ranson it generally went with Ranson slagging off the previous manager(Dowie, Coleman),players(Best, Tabb,Mifsud), saying that we were debt-free and sneering at anybody who questioned him or Sisu to rapturous applause from the majority.

"We strongly advise that you do not ask this question or mention the subject" was told to a friend of mine when he stated that tonight he will ask about the bonuses.

Who did he state that to in the first place? I got the email confirming attendance and it didn't mention anything about possible subjects to avoid.

My guess is the format will be TF & SW being interviewed by Linnell or the like and giving their spin on things with a short period of questionning from the audience at the end. It will be stage managed to some degree, which i can understand because the prog has to flow and is time limited but that wont be the only reason it will be stage managed. But as I and others have said there will always be the stock get out phrases for the difficult questions.

sorry if that comes across as a somewhat cynical and jaundiced view ...... but i see no real evidence or reason for TF & co to suddenly become transparent and inclusive in their interaction with the fans, as usual it will be carefully placed messages that address only their agenda or point of view with very little in hard facts

CWR have been asking for people to email questions to them btw

The club take the piss with the restrictions on questions etc. It's not even worth going imo. There's no way i could sit there and bite my lip. Best of luck to those who are going later, unless your a clapping seal of course.

we got round the stage managed thing when clouting was there - you submit one question and ask a totally different one, when they come to you - clouting was the most uncomfortable i have ever seen anybody at one of these events

Go, but don't bite your lip, Valiant. See if you can take some of the smugness out of the people on the stage. You couldn't be arrested for it!

My questions would be why as fans should we trust in SISU to make the correct decision reagrding a manger when they haven't made too many correct decisions in the past about the club. Hence Spending 40 mill!!!! and are going backwards...

Do you think the falling attendances and poor performance of the team is anything to do with SISU still being here and decisions they have made since last season regarding players contracts....

Lastly Do they have any idea of what sort of manager they are looking for as remarks made seem to show all are different in approach , age , knowledge and experience.. While this is expected surely it will make the process harder and more confusing other than picking a certain type and picking the best applicant from that pool.

I dont expect any straight answers if theses question where asked and dont expect TF to come out letting us know what the long term plan of this club is. All i know is the longer SISU are at the club we seem to be going further and further away from the fans. This includes new and old which can't continue to happen if we want to be around for much longer....

Its a live Radio Broadcast....obviously its got to be controlled......

Its no different to QT on the BBC or Any Questions on R4 in that respect....

....And if you think its unreasonable to pre-approve the questions etc., just spend 20 mins reading some of the brain-dead shit posted on here and every other football forum & then ask yourselves, is it really that unreasonable.....
