Think Dabo will prove to be a key player for us, Has 2 assists already this season.

As much as I liked dujon there is no denying he had a poor start and a poor end to his time here, he did contribute 5 assists over the season which is a good return.

Think Dabo is faster, has a better delivery and is much more direct, he seems to be getting better with every match.
Had an iffy start and wouldn't be Suprised if he's a fan favourite by Christmas.

Personally think he will end up being much better for us than sterling was...

Gives 100%, never backs out and is a real asset IMO

It’s clear to see Dabo has much more first team experience. One season in the Eredivisie and promotion with Sparta. 79 first team games (including the 3 for Cov.) Dujon played his first game for us. Couldn’t be happier with the recruitment.

If yesterday's performance is 'the norm', then he will not be here long.

However, I get the impression (could be, and hopefully proven, wrong) that he will be a 'boom or bust' player... in that when he is good, he will be fantastic (like yesterday), and if he is bad, he will be awful.

I think Sterling will have a better career but Dabo looks god right now.

Lets not forget Sterling was 18 and it was his first taste of mens football.

Dabo is 23 (24 in 2 months) and already had loan spells at swindon, vitesse and Rotterdam and played 70+ games before joining us.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sterling goes on to play for england, but Dabo is looking good right now.

Dabo over sterling for me far superior even at this early stage.

We needed competitors like Kyle and dabo at the back we were too soft last year. Is rose tough?

I agree with everything bar the sterling for England bit. Sterling will have a good career, but I didn't see anything that made me think wow. I imagine he will have a career at maybe low/middle prem at best.
Wan bissaka and Alexander Arnold are going to be England's Rb's for the next decade at least.

Sterling looked far too timid on the field at times. Linked up nicely with Luke Thomas but I was never fully confident with him defensively. I didn’t see yesterday’s game due to being on holiday, but I’ve seen in the couple of performances I have been about for that Dabo has more fight and I think that’s a quality desperately needed at this level.

Judge over the season. Two crosses from dabo yesterday to Godden and Baka were stunning

However performances like that till January and as a Wigan manager I know who I’d prefer at right back out of the two

Agree on that. During the middle of the season I thought he was excellent, but it must be put in perspective that it’s League 1 and he didn’t have the consistency throughout the season. At his age, TAA was already around the Liverpool first team. To my knowledge, Reece James is more likely to be Chelsea’s starting RB in future years.

Happy with Dabo over Sterling (even if it is early days) I thought sterling Was overrated. I still think Allen could really make a huge difference to us by linking play up and receiving balls from Dabo and Mason.

Sterling did well for us and got a years excellent experience playing for us but in the long run his heart is with Chelsea, Dabo is our player and his heart is with our team and Knows if he is consistant he will play every game and more than likely attract the bigger boys to bid for him. Thats football life for CCFC we are a damn good club for youngsters and they know it

I never really got the fuss over Sterling to be honest. Some good performances sure but overall I thought he was fairly average.

Dabo looks much more dangerous going forward, but we're yet to see him tested defensively.

Both quality. Really pleased with Dabo. Probably bit more streetwise than Sterling (and reckon he’s got a nastier streak)

I’m going to suggest that both will have a career in league one or above. So both decent players. One we owe and can sell for a profit to reinvest, one we have helped on his way

If you thought Sterling was ‘fairly average’ for League 1, then.....wow.

Dabo is ours and is quality. Wasn't crazy about Sterling and felt sorry he displaced Grimmer who did a great job for us, and lost his place to a loanee. Something wrong there..

Someone posted on here, possibly on the Jordan Clarke thread that dabo was a terrible signing and Robins has already realised he's not up to it...

I’d be disappointed if he looked weaker than Sterling. I posted in a thread during pre season, that on paper Dabo is an upgrade; they had a similar footballing upbringing at Chelsea and both represented England at youth level, however Dabo has the advantage of playing men’s football for a few years.

Sterling clearly had ability but at times seemed too lethargic and lacking energy. He’ll have a good career but not sure he’ll quite make the heights some predict.

I like Dabo; he’s committed and clearly has good technical ability which supports the way we are trying to play this year.

My worry (especially with some on this forum) will be the sudden turn against him when he has the inevitable bad game or two where he’s targeted by long balls.

Overall, he’s a really strong signing and I suggest AV played a bit part in bringing him here.

Dabo looked decent in pre-season. I really rate him.

People seemed to see him against Bolton and make their mind up and probably haven't seen him since.

You have to wonder with people posting random comments like this if they've actually attended a match.. Dabo was class Saturday, the touch ... the interplay with Westbrooke and then having the presence of mind to get it to Kastaneer was pure class. The Bristol Rovers players could barely react before the ball was in the net.

I went to three games in pre-season and have been to every game so far. I thought Dabo was very poor until Bolton but was good against Exeter and superb on Saturday. Bristol played extremely narrow and Bolton / Exeter hardly mounted any attacks. I hope he carries on improving.

He was decent against Leamington and Liverpool also. It was obvious what his strengths were even then, the only issue really was fitness.

I thought he was poor at both games. Pask outshone him at leamington and liverpool’s right winger gave him a tough time. Dabo was more interested in trying to bully him. Gave the ball away over and over again as well
