Well funnily enough no I can't evidence a hypothetical situation that will never happen.

I assume you can evidence that if the hypothetical situation that will never happen, happened it would make no difference at all?

It's not. I find the whole thing very sad. As I have stated before, I am not particularly interested in getting Sisu out, I just want our club home.

I very much come from the standpoint that there are very few decent football club owners in the country anyway and our previous owners in many ways were worse than the ones we have now.

Just that they have made the worst decision possible in going to Northampton.

What I am sating Grendel is that City fans have no problem with our playing away at Walsall or Bradford or Sheff Utd, but do very much have a problem with the club playing their home games 35 miles away from Coventry.

You shouldn't need to explain that TBF

The fact that some fans are going will surely give Sisu hope that IF we have success more will return. No-one going at all, whatever would give a completely different slant on things and tell the oweners we won't go whatever.

What it would do is bring on the demise of our club which would most likely be wound-up, we'd no longer exist! THEN YOU WOULD HAVE SOMETHING TO MOAN & COMPLAIN ABOUT, would'nt you?

I am going to ask a question which I know as always you will fail to answer.
Why would our club be liquidated and not sold off by the appointed liquidator?

We will be back in Coventry (CV postcode) one day.

Maybe sooner than many posters think but we'll just have to wait and see!!!!!

That will never happen. Some will always go so really it's a fruitless argument. A bit like the Petrol protests a decade ago. "If we all stopped buying petrol for one day then the government will listen and cut tax" they shouted. Never going to happen. Sad maybe, but true.

It's down to the suits, I think.

Totally and utterly agree Nick, we can all have our opinions but basically in a situation like ours we just have to let things sort themselves out.

I refuse to lose sight of the reason I first went to a match at Highfield Road to support my football team, the Bantam's (later to become the Sky Blues) and I'll continue to support them wherever they play (even Timbuktu, although would'nt be able to attend games but listen on player!).

Why should I cut-off my nose to spite my face, renewed my season tickets on the first day. PUSB!

Does this mean you've done a U turn on giving up supporting the team if they return to the Ricoh?

But this IS the demise of our club! Surely you can see that can't you? Home attendances of less than 2,000 in a ground 35 miles away with the vast majority of fans totally disenfranchised and some possibly lost forever.

A whole season without my club. Cannot begin to explain the pain to you. Been going up every season, man and boy since 1968. At the moment it feels like we have no club.

Desperate times and this is very much a demise.

Well ,there is a "question" because there is zero proof or evidence that it would have an impact. And as you say it's pointless arguing over it as it will never happen.

The most likely outcome would be that the owners would 'wind-the-club-up' since you can't buy when there's nothing to sell!

Then why would it make any difference. Support at away games in large numbers will equally assure them if they return so will supporters.

The financial contribution is minimal anyway. Packed away ends show fan acceptance as much as home games.

You're the last person who I would of thought of for suggesting a total boycott but I do see your logic. We need to demonstrate that sisu's unbelievably stupid decision to move our club to Northampton is killing it.

Don't knock it.

It has now become my stock answer to my wife when she asks when I am going to clear out the guttering.

I find it most useful.

I agree with 100% but some will just go to make a point, SISU have divided our fan base.

It's a temporary situation (we have to own our own ground or our owners do if we can't afford it) and have access to ALL revenue streams, gross income 60% on players dealings, wages, bonuses, transfers etc. etc..

FIFA 'Financial Fair Play' is kicking in even in the Premier League (note Man. City £49 million fine + only allowed a squad of 21 for the Champions League), the next thing will be a domestic League points deduction IMHO!

You have a choice, attend or not and I made mine. Make no mistake we will be back, if the club still exists?

Not good enough, do you even know what the CV postcode includes! Also SISU have made no such promise, we still do not know what the FL definition of the 'Coventry Area' is, you can ask all you want & they will not tell you, believe me I've tried!

The CV postcode area, also known as the Coventry postcode area,[2] is a group of postcode districts around Atherstone, Bedworth, Coventry, Kenilworth, Leamington Spa, Nuneaton, Rugby, Shipston-on-Stour, Southam, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick in England.

How will FFP apply to the "B" teams. Surely Legue One teams with FFP will be playing against a team with virtually no income, but players on 30-40k a week !
