I realize this has been talked about on another thread but...
I read all the time that if the fans stood united we would succeed in our aims... How?
If we had all woken up this morning to find we are all in complete agreement, what would it change? It would be nice of course but what would it change?
Not a single person would go to Sixfields.
Having ZERO attanedance would surely have to put pressure of the FL to broker a short term deal to get the club back to Coventry
Why?

If Sixfields was empty and we had a campaign whenever a "Home" match was on, several thousand Cov fans camped outside the FL and listened to the game, they would do something pretty sharpish.

On a slightly different note, just asking the question, does anyone think that Hull's name change would have happened if the fans hadnt kicked up a fuss and they were supportive of it ?
Didn't they vote for it?

I am not suggesting we do it, as we simply wouldnt get the numbers. I am responded to the OP. I would suggest that 5,000 fans regularly outside FL whenever a home game is on and no-one attends stands more of a chance of action from the FL than what is currently happening
The reality is the majority of fans are already in agreement
I will concede that 5000 fans outside the FL regularly might create some pressure... but back in the real world...
completely agree. Just a shame that we can take 7,000 to MK Dons, yet only one man and his dog to the FL

No fans turning up would make a difference. Am absoultely convinced of that.
Surely our owners stance is based on the fact that some fans are going. We all know that if we were top of the table the attendances would increase. Some, like myself, would not attend whatever, but some would be swayed by success on the pitch.
The hope from Sisu must be that if they can get stuff right on the field then fans will return.
If no-one attended at all, a blanket ban and that stayed in place for the entire season then I believe that would have to affect their thinking and things would change.
Without fans there is no football club.
Nothing at all, the fans have no power to do anything in all of this.
Would that apply to away matches as well?

Totally and utterly agree Nick, we can all have our opinions but basically in a situation like ours we just have to let things sort themselves out.
I refuse to lose sight of the reason I first went to a match at Highfield Road to support my football team, the Bantam's (later to become the Sky Blues) and I'll continue to support them wherever they play (even Timbuktu, although would'nt be able to attend games but listen on player!).
Why should I cut-off my nose to spite my face, renewed my season tickets on the first day. PUSB!
Being convinced isn't a guarantee though is it? It's an opinion like everything else on here.
The blanket ban you mean? No, I don't believe it would.

They lost over 8000 when they moved from the Ricoh, you think the tipping point is somewhere in that last 1500?

The fact that some fans are going will surely give Sisu hope that IF we have success more will return. No-one going at all, whatever would give a completely different slant on things and tell the oweners we won't go whatever.
Then why would it make any difference. Support at away games in large numbers will equally assure them if they return so will supporters.
The financial contribution is minimal anyway. Packed away ends show fan acceptance as much as home games.
That will be why they are going all out for success on the field then!
No, they are not. I think they just have their fingers crossed that it will all come together and will do something like Yeovil and have success on a tiny budget. More out of hope than design.
There is absolutely no question that would have an impact.
However we all know it will never happen
