2x per ST is not the right approach

This has happened because people have bought tickets on a single account and not allocated to others in their network and therefore not getting the points credit. I am a victim of that and I've had to buy another 3x home games just to hit the threshold

I also have a third account on my network but I'm not doubling up on tickets for that one

Also think windows could've been opened sooner (e.g. give STs the weekend then open 50x points on Monday morning), then everyone else on Thursday morning etc...

It will sell out

The mistake is giving each window far too long, 2 days would’ve been enough. No idea why there was a week between the 50/0 points. I still think they’ll sell out, even if they have to do another round to ST holders. I’d buy a couple for casual mates.

I misread. Thought it was a no points but had bought using the account before. Not entirely sure why you'd create an account and not buy.

Also, if needed, could buy a ticket for one of the remaining games on it, then it would have purchase history.

My dads account did have history but its been wiped.

You can't buy a ticket for any remaining home game without purchase history.

I'd rather it go like this so I can get a better chance of sitting where I want. The allocation can always be increased at a later window.

The only thing I would have done differently is shorten the windows.

If anything all this shows is that when ST holders had the chance to buy 2 tickets they were taking a lot of daytrippers.

Don’t we have something like 19k season ticket holders?? They couldn’t have guaranteed every ST holder a ticket with an allocation of 34K. I get that not everyone would’ve bought 2 but they couldn't’ be sure.

I notice our allocation has been increased to 36k.
The club were damned if they do and damned if they don't on this. The time windows between sales were a bit baffling.

It'll be interesting to see how many are left after Friday once the rest of the registered accounts get their tickets. I can see there being 6k remaining.

Maybe that's just not an attractive prospect for the casual fan who has been to see us at Wembley several times in recent years when the game is on free to air TV

I think it's just impossible for the system to enforce that during the big rushes. If you consider that every seat gets "reserved" in the basket for 26 minutes, it would make a tonne of tickets unavailable for adding to basket that are actually unsold, if you try to enforce that in real time.

So I assume this logic works in many cases, but there will always be some weird connotations that end up in single seats being left unsold after each "rush".

I booked four seats for our group at around 2:30 on the first day, after the initial rush,
I didn't get a big choice of blocks with four together but there were lots of light blue dots . I tried clicking on them and on one try got three together but not the fourth. I spotted a group of four dark blue and took them a few rows further back. Perhaps if I had refreshed the screen some of the light blue may have become available but I felt under pressure to book what I could.

I suppose if it gets to the point where there are 3 seats left together and you only want 2 it will let you buy them, then leaving the single.

I think that would be logical and sensible for a landmark game - I am an iFollow season ticket holder and have been since I left the country. That said, I think it has to be considered what revenue the club is making from you (EFL take a good chunk?) vs a fan who buys 5 tickets in a season.

Loyalty schemes are complicated and logistically hard to pull off - I assume including iFollow is non-trivial because it has nothing to do with Ticketmaster. So for boring reasons, I don't see this happening.

I do wish I could get someone at the club to listen though - because there are a few things overseas fans can do that could allow them to accumulate points while still increasing ticket revenue (and matchday revenue) for the club - for example the season ticket donation scheme. I personally bought & donated a season ticket last year so I could travel for the playoff game, but the club wiped the points for that when I transferred the season ticket to the donee (donor?). When I appealed, they refused - which is fair enough as "it's policy" but I do think is a bit short-sighted.

What's annoying for me is that I have to authorize the payment on my Lloyds banking app every time I order tickets. Not a big issue usually, but there have been times when I've not been able to get a signal.

I think if you look at the questions you see from pretty die hard supporters here, on twitter & on facebook whenever they have to buy a ticket online - people really struggle with technology you might consider to be really easy to use. So in some cases, 26 minutes might not feel like a lot of time!

The difficult bit is getting the tickets into the basket. The payment bit is standard and of course those with purchasing history will have used it before. I generally have sympathy with people who struggle with technology but the online checkout is easy.

Presumably i can buy hers so that my sister (who doesn't have purchase history) can come with me? They aren't going to be able to carry out ID checks against the ticket stub at the gate, are they?
