Wild guess without looking this up. Was it the year that Leeds won the league and we played at Elland Road on a bank holiday or something similar?

I was wrong - that game was also on ITV. Final year of Division 1.

Pretty sure the Leicester away game was on BBC when we were doing pretty well under Coleman and came back from 2-0 down? BBC showed Championship games for a year

I know the BBC don't do Cov City live, but I'm struggling to remember when was the last time.

Back in 87 the BBC and ITV both televised the games live, if my memory serves me right.

I'm certain the Southampton away game under Thorn when we were already relegated was on BBC.

I’m doing most of the away games. Why is that worse than doing most of the home games?

good time of the day, doesn't ruin peoples weekends, doesn't mean kids will be up late, roads will be quiet

not many reasons left why people cant make this one and support the team ?

The wives will want to go Christmas shopping, "so kill two birds with one stone", they can go shopping while the dad's and kids go to the game.

Yep but the Saints fans were class to us afterwards. Couldn't move for fans wanting to shake hands, praise our support and reminisce about the escapes of the late '90s.

That was a very good Southampton side. Fonte, Schneiderlin, Cork, Lallana, Puncheon, Sharp and Lambert.

The best I’ve seen though was the Reading side of 05/06 who blitzed the division

Was a really weird day. Watching them all celebrate going up while we were heading for L1. As you say their fans were class.

We beat them away 4-2 in the league then they got their revenge when they smashed us 5-0 in the FA Cup. Marshall passed it to one of their players for a goal and Doyle got sent off iirc.
