Not going, and I barely ever not go

Just not spending money on a ticket, trains and beer tokens on the day out to watch Lampard and Robins play their second string in a game neither will be arsed about winning at a shit ground I have been to a million times before

You'll end up going when it's £15 and we sell 5000.

The only positive I can see about this draw is that it will be good to give Woolfenden and Andrews 90 against a decent team.

It really is an uninspiring draw, isn't it.

Shepherd, Brau, Varney have all made the bench this season.

Thats a GK (Varney), defender (Perry), LB (Brau), 2x midfielders (Andrews and Shepherd)
Add Lati, Bidwell, Allen, 2x new winger signings and BTA to get some match time to get him back to match fitness. Plus Dovin too hopefully? Also add some minutes for Woolf and KKH too. Thats a squad of 14. Give everyone else the night/afternoon off.

5-1-3-1
Varney
KKH Lats Woolf Perry Brau
Allen
New Winger Andrews New Winger
BTA

Although Robins usually plays weakened teams in the cup, I think he has said they do not have a squad that is good enough for promotion. Think he will go for this one; we will play a similar side to Millwall in the League Cup and probably lose.

Fair play! I wish I could stay away from it for one weekend.
I usually can’t stay away myself, swearing to myself all season I’m not doing PNE on a Tuesday night, yet here I am taking a half day at work to drive up there later

But tbh I harbour absolutely zero desire to go to Stoke away again for a while, 50% of the football experience for me is enjoying the day out and I simply do not enjoy going there - Shit ground in a shit hole, where our fans are treated like shit and can’t drink anywhere apart from being kettled into a Harvester by the stadium - Taking into considering the fact that I doubt either side will be that fussed about even winning the game, I’m going to go and do something different that weekend instead

It's definitely one of the worst away days in the country.

Yet we got to the semi final under him, and also gave it a good go in the seasons we got promoted from League 1 and League 2.
Only becuase Doug demanded we had a run - up until then Robins barely but first teamers out. He regularly made us aware it wasn’t a priority.

in terms of the league one promotion season we lost in the 3rd round - it was the 6 games we played due to replays that made it seem long

We went out in the 4th round in 2020

I only remember it vividly as we would have played Leicester just before lockdown had we beat Brum on penalties - which looking back at the way we won the League may well could have cost us promotion as we would have played one less league game and the players may well have been distracted

Who else did we play? I remember Bristol Rovers and then Ipswich, then we played Birmingham?

just looked - completely blanked the Colchester game

Still don't know how O'Hare missed that sitter virtually on the goal-line in the first match - I remember watching the replay on a dodgy stream at my exs in Tel Aviv too

We were gonna piss League 1 regardless. I was more confident of that than I am for this season, even with our big points advantage.

Interesting how many are now pissed off with the draw, who beforehand were declaring how little they cared for the cup this season 🤣
