Supposed to be going tomorrow on a freebie but don't think i fancy 9 hours in the car in these temps we've got here (34/35C). It's actually a terrible track in terms of location when it comes to hotels etc. Graz is the nearest decent option and that's a good hour away.
It's a big race for Lando - just has to convert this pole into a win. Hopefully he gets his start right.

Might be a ballache but I think you'll regret it if you don't go mate!

Austria always throws up a good race

They've made an absolute clusterfuck out of this start.

Good win for Lando. I thought he drove well to keep Piastri at bay.

Shame about Verstappen

I’ve only been watching this sport for 3 years but can someone explain what is the point of Lance Stroll? He seems to literally hate the sport and not give a fuck

Thing is, every now and again Lance actually does show a little bit of pace.

Then he goes and does something like stupid and willingly chooses to drive into a Gravel trap on the formation lap after he's spun, and his mechanics have already had to rebuild his car after crashing in qualifying.

Think his Dad's using him as a test subject at this point. Find out how far a kid will go to please Dad before his mind collapses.

Atmosphere change yesterday at the track was incredible when Max went out. Massive drop in noise and atmosphere. Anyone fancies a live F1 experience then Austria is a good option. The track visibilty for most spectators seems amazing compared to other circuits. Was told tickets are actually cheaper than most European GPs.

Glad you went in the end and enjoyed it. I was toying with Saturday at Silverstone but I cant justify the price of it for what it is

Was lucky we were inside the corporate - aircon etc and fans on the balconies. Trackside was brutally hot. We were in the pits around 1 pm and the temp down there was over 50c. Biggest danger inside corporate was dodging the selfie sticks of the social media crowd

Even with everyone else having messy laps, it was ridiculous. He couldn’t turn that thing round corners yesterday.

Could be a belter this afternoon. 6 cars in contention, maybe some wet weather and it's Silverstone.

They do not need to start this behind the safety car. Absolute nonsense.

The track is so dry they'll be in for slicks at the first chance.

At least we got the standing start even if we were a couple of cars short at the front.

Why do they need a safety car when it is raining? I've been watching BSB from Knockhill today, lashing down in the supersport race but they just got on with it

As Hadjar just proved, because these ground effect cars suck up so much water from underneath them, you can't see a lot. Plus when there's too much water you just end up aquaplaning.

And nobody bothers with the full wet because it's absolutely useless.

It's still a magnificent race track.
Good drive from Norris.
Thrilled for Hulk - particularly from where he started on the grid.

Yeah, Hulkenberg was class.

Max, utter poo, but that Red Bull is a load of shit. Quali was pretty superb, to be completely fair to him.

Oscar needs to get over it. It was a penalty normally but in those track/weather conditions it was really poor decision-making.

I think he needs to get his round the fact it wasn't even so much that he braked, but he braked too much. From the wording, that's more what the penalty was for.

You could hear Hulk commenting that it had a domino effect all the way down the line of cars. Could have been quite easy for Max to go straight into the back of him and end both their races.
