Max is incredible

This is what really wrankles me about Lando being champion. He isnt the best driver, its Max by a country mile. And i also feel Russell demolishes Lando in the same machinery

However, Lando out of the 2 McLaren drivers, does deserve it

This track always delivers a cracker. I think I'd say it's probably become my favourite on the calendar.

If we ever lose this for some wank street circuit in Rio, I'll be furious.

I’m toying with the idea of a cheeky £5 bet on Verstappen - pressure does funny things to people

Agreed.

Silverstone also throws up quality races

I think he's too far away now. Only 3 races and 1 Sprint to go. Its Landos I think. And I think hes going to have it sewn up before the final race

I honestly don’t think Norris deals with being the hunted. He struggled against Piastri for most of the season.

1 DNF and Verstappen is back in it

Yeah, three and a sprint to go, as long as nothing absolutely awful happens, Lando should only need one more solid weekend. Then he should be able to manage it if he hasn't got it done already.

But, I'll quote the great Murray Walker: "If is a very long word in Formula One. In fact, if is F1 spelt backwards!"

Cant see the DNF though. Hes has 2 already 1 in Canada, 1 in Zandvoort.

As above, 1 more win for Lando out of the 3 and its goodnight Vienna

Also I genuinely cannot think of a bigger choke than Piastri

Can’t disagree with the piastri thing. He was miles ahead at one point

Away from the championship battle, what an amazing job Ollie Bearman is doing. Been very impressive as the season's gone on.

Think people are being a little harsh on Lando. He's upped his game and driving much better than he did at the start of the season. Stopped the silly mistakes, stopped letting Piastri push him around on starts and most importantly qualifying better.
Also it's obvious Red Bull have improved their car a lot more than Mclaren since the break - new leadership? Mclaren complacency?

I think most teams stopped developing their cars earlier than usual to focus on the new regs, seems strange that Red Bull have still been doing major upgrades.

Really strange how Lando looked like the one being nervous and making mistakes while Pistri look quite composed until a few races ago, then Piastri just absolutely fell to pieces and Lando's looked a bit more like he's capable of handling the pressure.

Agreed. I cant ever recall such a turnaround between drivers. Maybe Webber and Vettel in 2010 but even then, this is way more of a bottle job/ impressive turnaround

Just read that Tsunoda's scored 25 pts this season's vs. Max's 341! If the measure of an F1 driver is how you perform vs. your teammate, he's backing up the argument that he's up there with Hamilton, Alonso and pushing Senna levels of skill. Think he's a prick, but the prick can drive.

Yep. And before Tsunoda Lawson couldn't deal with the car either. Since they swapped Lawson has looked much better than Tsunoda. The RB must be an absolute pig to drive and the fact Max has got it competing up there for the title still is nothing short of incredible,

But he's still an absolute prick who moans like a bitch and drives dangerously when things aren't going his way.

I think hes in the top 3 of all time already personally. Annoyed that he won't be WDC this year as he deserves it fully whereas the McLaren boys

Albon and Gasly are also talented drivers that coudn't drive the Red Bull. Danny Ric basically walked because RB had become so heavily focused on Max. Tsunoda got the 2nd car because Honda paid RB a big chunk of cash.
You'd think Red Bull would get drivers from their junior teams into Max's old cars to learn how to drive their unique set-up then promote them to the 2nd car.

Wow again, hats off Lando. Don't think the yellow changes anything, that was a great lap. Shout out to Sainz as well.

Unless something big happens tomorrow Oscar is done.

Genuinely take back all my Lando slander

The man is showing levels i never knew he had and is obliterating the rest. Fair play to him. Aside from Max, he is going to be a worthy champion. 2 more DNF's than Oscar aswell

That Dutch dnf was massive for points and not his fault.
Start is massive with Max looking to really pressure him.
Still a track that should favour the Red Bull but a podium ahead of Piastri would put one hand on the title. Wouldn't be surprised to see another Piastri mistake.

All that being said….

Comical start, tried to be too aggressive. Tbf Max was lightning off the line so forced his hand a bit more too

That was a great win by Max. Quick off the line, controlled it after that. Casually put in fastest laps when it looked like Lando might attack him. Imperious.

Lando did well after the start, great pace and no need to do anything stupid after getting past Russell.

The fact Max is only 12 points behind Oscar now is WILD.

It doesn't change the equation much. As long as Lando is on the podium in the next two races and sprint, he'd be Champion.

It's still amateur hour from McLaren though, why take the risk of a dsq? It's a total howler from someone.

Fuuuucking lol. Just woke up and seen this. I was worried when Lando was being asked to lift and coast so much with a "technical issue" for the last 2 laps, thought it might be low fuel though. Always find it ridiculous when someone gets DQd for skid wear

Just baffling. The only way Max could remain in contention was something happening to both MCLs and they hand it to him on a plate.

Still think Lando has it in him, and he has a decent buffer really. Oscar will finish 3rd now though, horrific finish to the season for him, not sure how he picks himself up for 2026.

Lando absolutely blew the chance for pole there.

Puts him in the danger zone alongside Max. Probably the worst place to be.
