F**k Off Pressley (1 Viewer)

No one is saying anything is a sisu success story - that is irrelevant - Pressley is failing as a manager. I am listening to 5 Live and fans are saying Martinez should be sacked as Everton manager. May sound extreme but they are not winning. We are not winning - time to go.

Short term we need survival. We have been here before with thorn and the same argument. The absurd acceptance of a failure contributed to relegation.

History must not repeat itself.

Well tell that to Messrs Waggot & Fiisher, they make the decisions.

Thing is how will it change , his tactics are inept and it feels like half the time he goes out and just hopes it works , we play like we dont really have a gameplan , we are extremely innefective in the final 3rd , we pass backwards and sidewards when we should be getting forward fast .
thing is in the summer more pkayers will leave and he will replace again , and we are stuck with this "we are gelling" mentality .
fact is , pressley is taking us backwards on the pitch , we are 19th in league 1 at christmas and our football is extremely inneffective , thats a coaching management issue surely , the players in my opinion are better than what they are showing and im extremely positive that another manag with low budget experience would get this side playing better football and winning matches

Pressley has fallen out with a number of players which is affecting his team selections. I don't understand why some of the players (loanees)are still here.

Mark Robins, and pretty much every other competent manager.

MR was here for a total of 6 months and took over from AT so didn't exactly have a tough act to follow. If he'd been here as long ad SP he'd have fallen on his sword by now also. Plus try taking a look at his record for the jobs he had either side of us. His record aint that different from SP's if you take his time with us out of the equation.

What are the restrictions? Are we saying we have one of the lowest budgets in the league? If so then fair enough but if we have a competitive budget we should be up there. It was SP himself who said play offs this season. He didn't say we've got a small budget it's going to be a struggle.

Yea he kept up two shite championship teams, something Pressley could only dream of.

Why is he outperforming Pressley with a team worse than our own at the moment?

Robins lost a bit of popularity after he rocked the boat of the fundamentalists on here by declaring that the council should be doing more to help the club.

Lets wait until his honeymoon period is over first shall we.

If SP had the sence to have jumped ship last Xmas he'd be the messiah that people would be calling for as a replacement of which ever poor lost soul had taken over from him.

The point I'm making is that whoever takes over will make an impact and may even save us frim relegation but if they're here as long as SP they will fall on their sword as SP has done. MR was smart. He got out quick.

The blinkers worn here are amazing. Do you think we're the only club who sells our best players and don't have a huge vat of cash to spend?

Yes it is, there are decent managers working on tiny budgets all through the divisions but as usual its all Sisu and the manager is blameless

That is why our managers seem to get away with being so shite as they are heroes for putting up with SISU (getting paid a decent wage and not getting the pressure they would in other jobs as everybody will just blame above them)

We've gone beyond a selling club. Baker is proof of that. Its more than selling players and having no cash to spend. The club has been turned Toxic from top to bottom.

So other clubs don't get rid of massively high paid players on free transfers?

I think what grates with a lot of people is that we sell or release all of our better players, we NEVER hang on to anyone. In the last 5 years, how many players have we signed from another club who has then gone on to sign a new contract? I can think of hardly any - Baker? Bell (who was constantly injured)? As soon as any one of our players has a decent season you know they won't be here come August - I was saying this time last year that Murphy and Moussa would not be here this season - it was obvious at the time.

Every single season we lose pretty much all of our better players, and then have to rebuild a new squad and backbone with a smaller budget than the year before. It's virtually impossible to construct a squad to challenge for promotion when there are so many changes every summer.

We are absolutely hopeless at contract negotiations - to the point where the cynical side of me thinks that contracts are not offered so that can players can look for other deals, saving the club the worry of having to find the money for wages. Look at Westwood and Gunnarsson - as if a player is ever going to sign a contract when only offered it at the end of the season - no chance. And this has happened several times.
