Stand by everything I said up to now - why would we sack a manager with 3.5 years to go on his contract?

What do people expect?
We have been the worst run club in the country for 15yrs or so now. A manager who isn't the best by any stretch but doing his best with what he has. A team full of players that are either not good enough, on loan or 12 month contract which is effectively loan anyway.
How many managers have we had since relegation from the premiership, they cant all be rubbish.

15 years, I'm still laughing! Forget the Prem., you can go much further back.

However I cannot change yesterday or yester year but I can influence tomorrow!

No one is saying anything is a sisu success story - that is irrelevant - Pressley is failing as a manager. I am listening to 5 Live and fans are saying Martinez should be sacked as Everton manager. May sound extreme but they are not winning. We are not winning - time to go.

Short term we need survival. We have been here before with thorn and the same argument. The absurd acceptance of a failure contributed to relegation.

History must not repeat itself.

I actually agree with you on this. I wonder if you're smart enough to work out the common denominator in this and see where the repeated failure stems from. I'll help you out. Its not the fans, SP, AL, AT, MM, GR, Wasps, CCC, Higgs, PWKH or anyone else you usually prefer to talk about instead of SISU.

Before day we had lost 1 game in 6 - let's keep a sense of perspective. Yes we are 19th but there are extenuating circumstances that defend SP. We have got a low budget which explains poor signings. The low budget is partyly due to FFP and the owners' folly in Northampton meaning we can't pump more into the squad - at least that would be Timmy's excuse.

A contract in football means about as much as a wedding in a soap opera.

Think I may have heard that one dozens (if not hundreds of times before) but the same situation has reoccurred time & time again over 20 or 30 years

Were you at that match today?

Well it was diabolical we left before the End and for that alone they should be ashamed, Fuck me I can take some shit but today it was worse then that not one shot on target not one player able to cross a ball.

Not going to rise to your very feeble attempts to provoke.

You believe what you believe and I'll stick to my beliefs.

Perhaps I'm a little bit more aware of the complexities and scale of the project and how many hoops you have to jump through.

If the move doesn't happen I think we're finished, so still have tremendous hope & belief. PUSB!

We are finished as a genuine club till these present owners leave. As for a new stadium, why are our owners noy open and honest and come out and admit the new ground is a fantasy?

Elsewhere but every admiration & sympathy who travelled, however just one game.

Previously 6 unbeaten without every playing great, grinding out results.

The key is still consistency and stringing together a good run of consecutive wins!

Will we do that? Who knows but just important to stick with the manager and his long-term plan and vision.

He should have been sacked weeks ago. His proclaimed promotion campaign fell off the rails almost as soon as it started. He cannot spot a player, hence why a) he has signed so many, and b) claims they are all fantastic, tremendous, incredible, then drops them a few weeks later. The squad is so unbalanced it's barely believable. He has no plan, which is why we still haven't found a formation yet and we're already halfway through the season. His press conferences are ridiculous - compare them with Robins, who talked about the game as we saw it, rather than lying through his teeth and claiming that everything was wonderful despite 0 shots on target every other week. The 'players who will not play for this club again', who are currently playing for this club again. The decision to sell / release Baker, who - whether you agreed with it or not - is currently sitting happy in the promotion places while we stare at the bottom 4. The wasteful loans, with not a single one being worth his salt. The FA Cup debacle, where me and the people around me burst into laughter when we conceded, as it was comically inevitable.

He doesn't inspire me, and it is clear the players feel the same. He has to go. Now. Before relegation puts the final nail in our club's coffin.

Anyone who continues to support Pressley needs their head testing, not surprised to see its Spider ricoh and RFC leading the defence as they've shown signs of insanity in the past.

After today's 'performance' on top of all the other clueless efforts,I feel our only hope is to turn the pitch around 90 degrees , because we are absolutely f....ing brilliant at moving the ball sidewards.

But it would appear that SP is Really Fucking Clueless in how to get out of this mess.

You and he should get on well.

Let's use similar logic and put me in charge because I could turn out to have the magical secret of football despite there being no indication I'll be successful - but you never know!

I wanted him to stay but after today he has to go. I loved the passion he showed in his post match Worcester interview but where has the action been ? I've seen probsbly less effort from the team since then. The performance today was the worst I've seen . Ever. Either back ways or sideways passing every time. Players taking 5 mins to decide where to pass. Players walking around the pitch no one closing down and no subs till the game was gone. Everyone could see what we needed other than pressley. You can't always blame the players and I've been an advocate of it being players fault not managers but he doesn't have any tactical awareness and his man management must be terrible of the players refuse to work on the pitch. The players look like they don't know there roles and thatS because of sheer confusion. Yeah there's nobody that could probsbly do better but I'd rather take a risk I mean we can't get any worse can we.

Pressley once said "we went down with a whimper and that can never be said about a Steven pressley team" unfortunately we didn't even whimper today we just went down and it's fast becoming a trait of a Steven pressley team

I went today and maybe I'm being overly negative becayse of the shite drive home but I'm utterly degected tonight. Anybody agree with that assessment ?
