I'll take a punt.
It's bullshit.
Until he goes along with his puppeteers the rot continues.

They're not necessarily exclusive. They could be doing both.

I don't believe he word he says. That's fisher who has created that not me.

What a time to bring in robins and spout off how the club will change and a confirmed increase for playing budget and recruitment. All perfectly timed for season tickets and it's been done before by this guy. Full of shit. Luckily I think the majority of fans hate the guy and don't believe a word he says.

Oh and btw isn't he attending a meeting next week and engaging with the fans all of a sudden?

What a relief, I don't know what I've been worrying about for the past six years or so, turns
Out everything's gonna be alright, I always knew they'd get it right in the end.
Someone should tell Jim White and his Talksport cronies forthwith' show them this interview
That will call them off, can't wait for next season now.

Seriously, SISU must Fucking love it here, dismantle the club to the point it's unrecognisable,
Just about to oversee their 2nd relagation to the 4th division. But never fear, couple of well
timed outbursts of Bullshit, and people age falling over themselves to believe it, even though
There is absolutely nothing from the last nine years that suggests 'even remotely" we should.

Never been so worried for the future of this club, nothing said or done in the last week or so
Has done anything to change that.

The club put in £600k and the extra £500k is funded by the Premier League

The main issue with a Category 3 academy is that clubs can only sign players at the age of 12 I believe. This would give other clubs in our area the chance to poach our local youngsters. I doubt the likes of Maddison, Stevenson, Christie and Wilson would have come through our system if we were Category 3.

Being a Category 2 academy enables us to compete with our local rivals (who are mostly Category 1) for players at the age of 8.

I really don't buy the academy argument, simply having a Cat2 academy is no guarantee of any footballers progressing from it into the first team. what it is is a guaranteed commitment to having to spend £600k when we cannot attract or pay a first team to compete at league one.

I think all of the players in your list are not solely products of the CAT 2 system but were with the club before we had cat 2.

Fuck that for a game of soldiers. The academy is one of the few actual links to the City and surrounding areas we have left. And the engine for the best thread on this site.

Why not have both? When we are likely to make £2m+ for about the third season running from academy sales, and we apparently have a great crop coming through why on earth would you risk it all on scouting a bunch of Jodi Joneses?

I guess at the end of the day it all boils down to whether we trust and believe Mark Robins, or whether we think he just wants a job here and will say anything.

Proof will be in the pudding as has been said.

Let's see if players are brought in swiftly this summer and that they seem like quality decisions.

That would show good faith and be a start.

You don't need a status 2 academy to achieve any of that

Interesting that TF didnt say "the club is not for sale" as he almost always does when asked about any possible takeover.

Are you saying if we had an extra £600k budget for the first team we wouldn't be where we are?

I have followed CCFC for around 20 years of my life and I'd say for 95% of the years we have been closer to the bottom than the top whatever division we've been in

Peterborough don't actually employ any scouts. According to Barry Fry they get a lot of tip offs and the first team coach, academy manager, goalkeeping coach and sometimes the chairman will go and watch them, so a joint effort.

The conundrum here is that we want things to get better but have a lack of faith in the owners to deliver us a better product.
As supporters we want to feel pride in the club and that has been eroded away to such an extent that only tangible progress in communications and outcomes will restore any faith in what is stated by Fisher.
Robins comes in with some goodwill but it will all be lost if results stay the same as they have been for the best part of 18 months and he will become a Sisu stooge very quickly in the eyes of some of us. I hope that results improve and that the style of play is watchable and the fans buy in to the team again.
Fisher and the owners have extinguished any chance of trust towards them from this supporter but as the custodians of the club I will applaud any steps that allow us to reverse this eternal cloud that hangs over CCFC.

I bet if you actually asked season ticket holders rather than round them up in a pretend stupid 'you lot' gang, they'd overwhelmingly tell you they don't believe a word he says too.

Only 20 you're lucky! No I don't for one second think that the £600k per year would materially have changed where the club is in terms of overall debt but now we are a sub £5million club its a significant proportion of our available spend. But certainly investing the £600k has not helped that much either. Watford went from about to go up to Cat 1 down to Cat 3 in order preserve cash. Losing one step in the academy structure is not the end of the world but Div 4 and non league might be.

Since Timmy is blatantly a lying shithouse, this means a takeover is underway, but SISU are trying to bully the buyers for more money.

Nothing we didn't hear either when SP or TM were appointed or during their tenure so why should we believe it this time?

I think talk of a season ticket boycott next season has TF rattled out of the woodwork.

A boycott is an official stance not based on natural declining factors. Relegation naturally reduces attendances but sales will still be around the 3,000 mark and attendances at around 5-6,000 minimum.

I guess the experience she will get over the next 12 months out of wearing the T shirt, Isn't affected in any way or form by decisions Mike Ashley makes for what direction the sports direct is going over the next 12 months.
Tim Fishers decision's directly impact on your future experience as a Coventry City fan over the next 12 months

Thing is Otis, if Robins does manage to transform us on the pitch, and the football and the results
Dramatically improve, but we inevitably still get relegated.
Then I would seriously doubt that he would be the one in charge of recruitment in the summer, he
Would be out of here at the first sniff of an opportunity elsewhere.
That's how much I trust Mark Robins, as for trusting Tim Fisher.........

If we are doing well I would expect it be around 8,000, though it has to be factored in that there will probably be some very low away followings up here at the Ricoh.

clubs with more money succeed more. Our fans are our only source of income unlike many other teams. Spend more money=more chance of success. Less fans = less money = more chance of failure.
