Tyler Walker released by Lincoln, all gone horribly wrong for him hasn't it.
Probably the laziest footballer I've ever seen, now the Lincoln fans are saying the same.

I don't think it's a coincidence that his 2 most prolific spells were when he was on loan and looking for a contract.
Whenever he got a contract he reverted to type.

Some say he's been dogged with injuries, but I can't help wondering if it was easier for him to be "injured" than to actually put a shift in.

He's still only 28, but I'd be suprised if a league club bothers signing him.
As Sir Alex once said, "Talent without application is nothing"

Strikes me as a pretty uncharitable conspiracy theory - there are surely easier ways to make a living then rattling around the lower leagues of football on loan.

He wasn't lazy, worked hard when he played for us just had a languid style.

I can see him playing somewhere random like Cyprus or India where there’ll be fans and it’s not so demanding.. Can’t see him putting a shift in for, say, the Brakes in front of 200 people.

He was just on loan at Wealdstone so I don't see why he wouldn't go down the leagues.
That's his level tbf, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a contract there.
Although he will probably moved on again after a season.

That's not me having a pop at him, but the lazy twats had 11 clubs in 10 years, which kind of says something.

The animosity towards Walker from some quarters is really quite something for a player who was pretty inconsequential for us. Wonder why.
He's literally the only player who's wiki page refers to his work rate being questioned.

How fucking lazy do you have to be to get it mentioned on your Wiki page?

Absolute waste of talent.

Because some dont rate him maybe ? What else would it be ?
There are plenty of players that we don’t rate who have fell down the leagues. The post above this one is a good example of how Walker seems to inspire somewhat more scorn than the others. Who knows why?

Because he was shit. Stop trying to make this into something else unless you have evidence of it

He had the talent to be decent at Championship level. The fact that he's in his prime now at 28, but not guaranteed a contract at non league level speaks volumes.

We’ve let a lot of players go over the years who have looked they had some potential and would make a go of it elsewhere who have just dropped down the leagues and out of the game.

Struggling to think of many players we let go who proved us wrong.
