We need answers of what CCC have done as freeholders to ensure this didn’t happen cos clearly it wasn’t enough. Great way to start your new base of operations that, piss off the entire city.

King had said he’d spoken to them and the deal continued as well. What the fuck is going on?

Isn't it now in Sisu's best interest to just sell all the family silver?

That's the thing.

For years people have been saying SISU need to pay what ACL want for the stadium so surely now Ashley needs to pay up?

There's every chance this is an overkill from Gilbert and CWR and may explain why the club have been quiet.

Chances are we are sorting a few issues around contracts and will be playing here against Swansea with no issues.

Would they be told to take all their stuff if that was the case?

Hoffman has been trying to get every man and his dog to fuck the club and SISU, he was all over it before with Haskell and getting the club into hadmin and parading him as the new owner. He wouldn't think twice about getting the club to go into admin again so he could be back.

If Ashley had no interest in the club, why buy a stadium? Surely he's playing hardball so he gets the club. If he really has no interest in CCFC, and wants us out we are well & truly f*cked. Back to a ground share, and SISU remain owners, as why would Doug King carry on with the takeover.

Yup. Council say Coventry City will be protected and Ashley comes in and immediately says our contract isn't valid anymore.

The Burnley Vik thing is now looking so much more likely isn't it.

Sadly I suspect you are right

What's he going to do with an empty stadium? The Midlands swankiest warehouse??

It HAS to be a ploy to get the club, surely?

Will stop Doug's purchase. SISU backed into a corner. The biggest bit of sh&te in all this, is you can see SISU grabbing as much £££££s from selling everybody before they sell (oh yeah, and the MR finally breaks) Also what a way to ingratiate yourself to a set of fans even if he buys. Not that he gave a F7ck when the Geordies were on his case, so he'll be meh as regards us.

According to Duggins and Reeves they were "assured". You would have thought they would have learnt from Wasps assurances.

It was more a belief he couldn’t. How is this even legal?

Absolute joke. He can fuck off coming anywhere near the club now the prick.
Same vibe...

A spokesperson for Frasers Group said the business was 'delighted with the acquisition'.

The spokesperson added: "The CBS Arena will complement the Group’s existing portfolio of brands and investments. Through the acquisition, we are pleased to have been able to secure a long term future for the Arena, protecting jobs and supporting the local community.

"In particular, we are looking forward to working with Coventry City Football Club."

Don’t panic Mr Mainwaring.
Looking at things from a step back, what else can the CBS stadium be used for other than mainly football matches, they can do other sports like womens football, grid-iron perhaps & things to the interior to have other sports such as snooker, darts they have those now, basketball, ice-hockey perhaps so it becomes a multi-sports arena as said ccfc signs are still up I’m not losing sleep over this yet. Sisu are in the shit, we know it, Fraser group certainly know it I’ll just await the next chapter, Mike Ashley was always going to play the game his way and sisu and let’s be honest we knew it.
Twists Doug Kings arm a bit going to be an interesting couple of weeks.

Either way this our season over. No chance we don’t have to sell in January now.

That's if the club gets to January. FG's timing is pretty impeccable if you look at it objectively.

Given the club has had no revenue due to the WC it'll already be running on fumes - and this will almost certainly cause it to default on payments this month.

I am going to burn the kits that I've ordered for the kids as Christmas presents when they turn up.
