They clearly can’t handle us running at them, we need to do it more

We have that line of 5 with Rice & Phillips in front of them and Italy cannot break it down, but my god it’s tense to watch

England so far defensively have been incredible , so comfortable, our shape is almost perfect .

He’s done well with a very partisan crowd.
He’s let some ridiculous diving from both sides go as well.

On the whole coping well, seem to have a player in the right place at the right time mostly. Definitely going to need a second to take some of the tension out of it, always feel Italy can click at any moment. Got to stay Switched on.

The masters of simulation hate their own game don’t they?

Not a big fan of how easily and silly we keep losing possession, they’re being given too much freedom for my liking. Chiellini all over Kane. If we can be a bit better with our final ball, we’ve got this.

Declan Rice having a great game. As is Kane.

Grealish/Saka/Sancho for Mount at some point, as they do not like us running at them at all.

Kane in first 20mins was best I have ever seen him play. Dropping deep and using ball superbly switching it. Also holding it up well…and winning physical battles.
