I think a lot of top sides at the moment have ageing defences and it'll depend on who replaces them eventually.

Same with England. If we had some more solid defenders we'd probably be able to play with more freedom like the Italians. But the way the game is now solid defenders will be few and far between as so much is put on technical ability even in the less technical positions. Even with keepers we're seeing very average keepers go for silly money just cos they're a bit more capable with the ball at their feet.

Get away with it though. Always feels when we try it the ref rushes our player off the pitch and adds about 3 times as much time on extra.
