Who gets your vote for the best strip at the Euros? I'm watching Belgium Italy and I really like Belgium's Adidas strip. Red and black goes so well together. One thing I can say is the Nike strips are by far the worst.

Yes Belgian kit the best I've seen to date. Quite like the Italian one also. The Russian one was ok too. Worst for me is England's.

The right team scored to make a game of it but having said that the Italians have been unusually positive in parts

I liked the Russian one, it looks better with a balaclava and a knife too

It's as if Italy have about 22 defenders

The Nike kits are terrible. Ours is bad but what were they thinking with the fishnet Turkey effort.
Adidas seem to have done a good job across the board with theirs apart from that weird tartan effect on the Ukraine shirts. Liked their Sweden top.
They seem to have kept things simple and not reinvented the wheel. Think you need that in international kits. Bad enough trying to make club shirts different all the time but you don't need to be messing with the traditional national kit.

I hate this 'taking one for the team' yellow cards. This shirt pulling and pulling players back when they have a clear run through in a good position really should result in a straight red. It is nothing more than pure cheating. No attempt to get the ball, no excuse of a mistimed tackle, just a cynical, deliberate pull back of a player to prevent an attack.

Twice Italian players have committed this type of cynical foul.

Agree but it breaks up play and worked for them tonight.

I thought Italy were excellent last night......made a very talented Belgium side look poor for large periods of the game...

Excellent defending (natch) but very positive & clinical when required.....2 very good goals.....best team performance by a mile so far IMHO....

I'm sure pulling a player's hair or punching him in the stomach would break up play too.

Well that's what I am saying. Pulling people back cynically, with no attempt to get the ball should be a red card.

Would stop it, Stu, almost certainly. It is a worrying trend and quite often it prevents a serious threat on goal.

Interestingly both cases last night were fairly close to the half way line...I wonder if they had been closer to goal (say just outside the box) clatternberg would have taken different action. I wonder if this sort of offence is something that a 14min sin bin style approach might be used for.

Good call. Think that would be a very sensible move to make.

The first one yesterday, was very much a scenario of Belgium having a great attacking opportunity on the break. Chienelli had made an error and the lad was breaking away.

Yes he was...I think there were a couple of Italians back behind the ball but they were certainly stretched. A yellow card didn't seem enough but a red perhaps too much.

A bit late, but thought Ireland (my team) played ok against the Swedes. Could have won it really. Hendricks looks a decent player. Hope Belgium are poor again on Saturday!

They remind of the Dutch. Great individuals, but a misfiring team in big tournaments. think the Irish can get something out of the game.

Anyone know why the Hungarian keeper is wearing lounge pants?

Can't believe more teams don't specialise with the long throw in.
Just like Stoke it gets em right up the pitch, and often as not they get the flick on.
I want TM to nominate someone through the summer to perfect the art and take advantage of teams ill prepared for this tactic,
Oh Pepe is a proper arse too.

Tbf for the sake of £20, I'd take the loss just to see his gutted face too!

He's already getting greedy out of desperation!

As for Pepe, not sure I could ever properly support a team with him in it! What an arse of a player!
