Get in there! Haven't deserved it but despite having a parked bus in front of us, Sturridge found his way through!

Get in Daniel!

Is it bad that the fans know more than Hodgson?

First reaction in studio was credit to Roy hodgson for his subs

Surely that just means he picked wrong team

I just made a complete fool of myself in a bar on a small island in the Croatia Adriatic. Adriatic.

How many times does this go in our favour

Sturridge is the only player we have who can work in those tight spaces like that.

who was it laid it off for Sturridge - in slow motion it looks like a great piece of skill

Great second half. You can blame Roy for not picking the right team but how many city games have we seen where its been obvious what change needs making but the manager hasn't done it. At least Roy made the change and made it early enough to have an impact.

Be interesting to see who he starts with for the next game.

I was in my shop watching the game on my laptop on BBC iplayer. Judging by the loud cheers I heard from another shop 5 minutes earlier i'd say the live stream was hopelessly behind. Worryingly the winner was met by a small cheer so I spent 5 minutes presuming it would be a Welsh winner until my stream caught up. The Welsh customers in the shop didn't seem overly happy with my celebrations

Would you believe it!

England don't have Dimitri Payet but they have Daniel Sturridge and the Liverpool man has found what must be the winner!

It's the third scruffy finish of the game as he plays a one-two with Dele Alli and somehow stabs it past Wayne Hennessey at the near post. Extraordinary drama.

right now i can't decide whether Alli is trying to make space for himself or lay it off for Sturridge - if it's the latter it's a great piece of skill

My god. Not an inch of me that doesn't have a bruise on it thanks to those goals. Hope we don't see Sterling make another appearance this tournament. Another game where he was a waste of space. Also that's the worst performance I've seen from Chris Smalling. Normally pretty solid though. Rooney, Walker, Dier and Cahill all outstanding. Periscoped a bit before during and after the game if you take a look at my Twitter.

Sterling going off also seemed to allow Rose to get more advavced in the 2nd half.

Agree on Rooney, walker and Cahill. Dier was okay but too many stray passes for my liking. Not been overly impressed by Alli over the last 2 games, sterling can't play again, llanna work rate has been superb too

Feeling of relief more than anything. Luckily hodgson changed it at half time...I didn't think he would. Just hope hope vardy and sturridge start next game and Rashford used as first sub if it's needed. Felt a little sorry for Wales as I thought their defensive display excellent.

I like Lallana. Wasn't his biggest fan but he's growing on me. Dier was like a brick wall at times. Wasn't Alli's best game but seen him play worse. Those two could be a special partnership in the future. Can't remember the last time we had two players with so much potential that were that in tune.

I am the sAme on llanna, didn't understand why he got a game but now see it. He could improve his distribution though! Rooney has made the difference in midfield for me, real calming influence and sprays the passes around. Rose didn't have a great game but a better second half and putting this down to first half instructions.

Need a professional job against Slovakia, start with vardy and I would probably give Wiltshire a start over Alli

Yep, agree on Sterling. That was an awful effort from him. He hardly put a foot right.

Definitely out of the side for Monday surely.

How many goals are being scored in added time ? It seems like every game has a last gasp equaliser or winner.

Rose was pretty good against Russia, can't always be a star, but he was consistent enough.

Rose and walker look good moving forward. My concern is as a back four we may wilt under pressure or be pulled about by an inventive attack. Not sure positionally defensively we are good enough. Should beat Slovakia though.

Fair play to Roy, he made the subs, he went all out and got his rewards, despite hearing a bit of criticism about our defence, while they haven't been seriously tested, Bale didn't even get a mention today, and he wouldn't have scored had it not been for poor keeping.
Team that ended the game has to start the next game, except Lallana in for Rashford.
Thing both of the performances have been good so far. We need to be more Clinical yes but we are playing well. Sterling shouldn't have been at the Euro's he should never have moved to City and he needs to sort his head out, and actually knuckle down.
Kane is knackered, he has played a lot of games this season, so perhaps best if he is rested next game.

This was the point, against Russia he was told to bomb on but the first half today he was clearly stopping so can only put that down to agreed tactics. He looked a threat in second half. Both full backs have been superb in the main but worried they will burn out!

When is the last time that happened? I really cannot remember. Nearly always put in a damp squib of an effort. First game in 66 we started poorly. First game in 96 we started poorly and nearly every word cup or Euro we put in a poor performance and have to rectify it.

Wouldn't it be nice if just for once we could put in 3 good group stage performances.

Getting a lot of criticism for my choice of works (on FB too.....).

What I mean is did we really create many keeper testing chances? 5 out of 20 shots were on target, but was Hennessy forced in to any saves that weren't standard? Its OK having possession, and boy did we have a lot of it, but if we want to go places, we need to get more out of games.

Yes, teams who get wins after oppositions park the bus must be doing well. But will that playing like that get us far in this competition? I don't think it will.

Also, id put money on that if we'd drawn that game, which we almost did, there would be a lot more criticism around, even people calling for Roy's head, but because we won it at the death, that's almost been put on hold.

What are you talking about? Roy Hodgson was a pure tactical genius today.

He was however within about 60 seconds of being a complete mug though.
