I assume he will miss the next 3 games and be available after Charlton at home?

If he was concussed (certainly looks like it) then it would need to be 21 days minimum from the date of the original concussion for return to play.

I hope it’s not the case but it’s certainly not ideal for a 3 game hard week.

Something in the rules I didn't realise is that when a player suffers concussion or suspected concussion during a match, that team is allowed a concussion substitute, which is extra to the 5 normal allowed substitutions.

Mad what a bit of motivation can do. He didn’t look arsed in his first few months here with cameos and playing on the right.

Since Lampard comes in he’s been great and putting your body on the line like that to score a spectacular winner shows the fight he and the rest of the squad have.
He was playing out of position, only given the odd start, we were in a bit of a mess back then as well, nobody looked fit, etc.

He's definitely been very good since Lampard came in. Lampard started Mason-Clark straight away and he won the December player of the month award. Nice and strong, skillful and can vary going on the outside and cutting in. I like how he plays on the shoulder of the last defender too and can get on the end of the Sakamoto balls over the top. Hopefully he keeps improving, we've got a very good player on our hands (y)

The original source is here: Concussion

I assume he would be eligible for the enhanced pathway given we are a professional club with medical staff, so the minimum timeframe is 7 days in exceptional circumstances or 12 otherwise, he could be available for our next game (WBA).

I was just about to say the same, been doing some Googling and AI (what could go wrong?). Based on that, I'd be surprised if he didn't make WBA.

He had one exactly the same against Burnley about a year ago just after Robins was sacked which was ruled out!

And the offside goal against Burnley was arguably the best of the lot. :)

Yeah, we were there for that. A year ago or there abouts as Rhys Carr was still in charge

And the volley v Milwall (first Lampard win). He's scored some decent goals tbf!
EMC is a quality player and when he’s not played, we’ve missed his directness on the ball, even when he isn’t playing particularly well individually.

Fair play to Sakamoto too, both our wingers have stepped things up a notch and chipped in with important goals in recent games.

Lots of people made comments like this at the time, but he always looked good to me. Very unlucky not to have a few goals and assists in those early days.

Never any allowances made for players to settle in. To say he didn't look arsed is astonishing 🤷‍♂️

He went close a number of times early on from what i remember, particularly seemed to like attacking the far post.

To the tune of ‘The lady in the radiator song’ (In Heaven) from the film Eraserhead.
‘In Ephron, everything is fine,
In Ephron, everything is fine,
In Ephron, everything is fine,
He’s got two good feet and Ephron’s fine’.
I can’t keep singing this one on my own (actually I can and will if need be)
Guaranteed non generic - No fucker else amongst the other 91 will have a chant to this tune.
This one’s ours!

I get the feeling we have not seen the best of EMC yet. No inside knowledge, but just a feeling again that he has not been 100% fit yet.
Some players need a good few games to get completely up to speed and I can see some special performances if he keeps his fitness.
Whisper it, how on earth he has not been called up for Jamaica is ridiculous.

Hold my hands up, I was convinced EMC and BTA were a massive waste of money for most of last season.
BTA has transformed into a goal machine and EMC is playing with a new found confidence and terrorising full backs. The best is still to come from him.

A bit ridiculous that Kasey Palmer has continued to be called up for them. Being selfish though I’m glad another of our players hasn’t been asked to cross the Atlantic every international break!
