Did he have permission from the Club to reproduce the Club badge which is a copyright? I’ll bet lawyers will want a word about it

because no one talks about it and everyone denies it's a thing. It's only main page news every time anything happens and it's only the dominant topic on all the most used threads in off topic on here.

No one will talk about it, anti-immigration views suppressed by lefties. Lamestream media blackout, amirite? No alternative for these ignored masses but a Reform home kit and Rupert Lowe stickers.

I always find it ironic that those who shout so vociferously about asylum seekers crossing the channel to commit (sexual)violence on women tend to

a) have voted for Brexit, thereby pulling the UK out of the Dublin Agreement and making it easier for asylum seekers to cross and remain until their application is reviewed
And
b) vote and cheerlead for an organisation of which 20% of its Members of Parliament have a criminal record for beating up their female companion

It’s not ‘just a sticker’ though is it.

It’s not ‘woke’ either.

There’s a very definite political and racist message and it’s associated with our club.

Needs calling out.

Cost of “asylum seekers” to UK economy is about 0.4% of GDP.

Cost of benefit fraud by UK nationals is 0.8% of GDP.

Once processed the Asylum Seekers will go to work and be a net positive benefit to the economy, including a general reduction in NHS burden, as ironically (as idiots point out) they are all (apparently) males of fighting age, so unlikely to require medical help.

So remind me why “boat people” are the issue and not lazy British pricks who can’t be arsed working.

I would also add that cost of UK nationals dodging tax and national insurance is into the Billions.

The sticker is racist, because it openly supports Rupert Lowe, who is a racist. He espouses views that are quite clearly racist. Not political, racist, and not particularly well hidden (see link below).

This stuff he shouts about goes a long, long way beyond a polite discussion on immigration control. Is that the sort of person you want to see our club associated with?

Yes, but why has it come to that? Why are there protests outside hotels?

There's a bit of a reddit style mob on this thread, where people are getting more confident with saying empty platitudes because they're getting a lot of likes, but there is a lot of outrage with very little logic attached to it.

The reality is that Reform are flying in the polls, and many people will end up voting that way because there is little way of such civil discourse, as you mention, ever taking place. How many people on this thread have called Reform voters racist? I don't see, for example, many people on this thread debating in adult mode.

I understand it might not be everyone's politics, but whilst getting shouty on a thread and calling people names might make some feel good, we have the potential to see Reform winning a general election, or at least getting a lot of seats, and this makes it worse. it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone if it happens at this point. These people aren't all racist or far-right, many are normal people that walk between us that don't feel listened to by politicians or the people mentioned above.

Yet we still took the knee for God knows how long and wear rainbow laces and armbands etc.

If you want this kind of politics out of football, then surely ALL politics should be out of football? We can't pick and choose and only inclusive the things we like/agree with. Thats not how life works.

And their "outrage" is always very selective. The good folk of Nuneaton were out a few weeks ago protesting about that girl getting raped by asylum seekers. Literally the following week, the police stated they had arrested and charged a white guy from Nuneaton who had been abusing kids for years and...silence...

You can make a good argument that racism and homophobia effects far more people at a city game than asylum seekers do.

There's a big difference from showing solidarity with marginalised communities and shouting "stop the boats"

It would clearly upset you, wouldn't it, so that's your argument shot down in flames pretty quickly.

It perhaps wouldn't upset as many people though, in fairness, because showing a Palestinian flag or supporting Zara Sultana isn't quite the same as backing a far right racist.

Stickers like this cause needless division between the fanbase. Obviously, a football club is going to be supported by people of different political persuasions.

Needless IMO. Has anyone seen that Reform football shirt? Similar colours to ours unfortunately!

They definitely aren't all racist or far right. But if you look at pictures from the demonstration in Falkirk at the weekend there were people doing the Nazi salute and a flag with the slogan 'kill them all, let God sort them out' so they're not all concerned citizens either.

But the fact is, they shouldn't be associating this sort of thing with our club.
And if they were 'free Palestine' stickers, a cause I care deeply about, I'd be saying the same.

Our support is a broadchurch and our purpose on a Saturday is to gather and get behind the team.

Most people are upset as the club badge is very personal to us all. It’s a big part I assume of people’s identity and as such people will have reactions to it being used in any political way.

Personally think that is the crux of the debate here

Having anything that links Lowe to our football club is grim. Bloke is multi millionaire grifter that gets support from folks who want ethnic cleansing of the UK. Enjoying the image of someone putting the stickers up in the Two Tone kit, though.

Ask yourself why there are minimal / non existent routes to enter the country. Why there are loads of hotels being used.

It’s almost like the Tories (of whom a number have gone to Reform) engineered this deliberately to excite some elements of the electorate isn’t it……

Yes, I don't disagree with either of your sentiments there.

Anyway, admins should probably take this to off-topic now so the usual can commence. We can then focus on the more important things on here, such as arguing about Bobby Thomas, Rudoni's hair, or how many players we are unlikely to sign - such as Jamie Vardy.
