A lot of those twats are using the St George's cross as part of their apparel and so it becomes associated with them. Irony being that the reason there is so little pride in our flag is because of these twats who claim to love it.
There is of course a fine line. The US for example has great pride in its flag but it can also result in xenophobia and hostility to other nations.
